The Mission
Data is one of the five building blocks of INGs Accelerated Think Forward strategy and the CDMO plays a critical role in making the digital data driven strategy of the bank a success. The CDMO is an international and fast-moving department within ING, which provides the platform for industry leading data management for the bank. T
he Data Quality team is a head office function within the CDMO, with the mission to enable INGs countries and Global Support Functions to apply and sustain a high level of data quality across the bank.
The Data Quality Officer will drive the Data Quality requirements identification, measurements, analyses and improvements within the bank. You will work with other functions within CDMO and with local Chief Data Officers and local Chief Data Quality Officers for achieving this. You have an important role in building a culture of continuous improvements in Data Quality.
Your day to day
Even if youll start your day from the comfort of your home or drink your morning coffee in our offices garden, your day will be quite similar when comes to tasks. Here are your daily responsibilities:
Design, implement and optimize data quality rules targeting both Source Systems data and Datalake data using IBM tools or other Data Quality tools adopted by ING;
Lead and execute data testing efforts from the front-end applications, through all back-end systems, and all the way to the data product layer (dashboards, reports, etc.);
Roll-out of the DQ framework in all ING domains/countries and offer post-implementation support;
Work to develop & support data quality reporting dashboards;
Coordinate that all data owners measure, analyze and monitor local data quality in compliance with the data quality framework;
Track the data quality across the bank and periodically report on data quality by means of the data quality dashboard;
Coordinate that appropriate action is taken in case of data quality issues
Occasional travel to Amsterdam for knowledge build up and getting to know your colleagues is necessary.
What youll bring to the team
Experience:
Experience with SQL and/or other query languages;
Experience with Data Quality tooling (e.g. IBM Information Analyzer, IBM Data Stage and Quality Stage, Oracle Data Quality, Informatica Data Quality, etc.);
Ability to understand the business context in which the data solutions are being developed and designed, in order to ensure alignment with the data management and IT strategy; Proven project & delivering solutions experience preferably in financial industry.
Nice to have:
Previous experience related to tables architecture or data modelling
Experience related to issue management process & tooling
Foreign languages: English (advanced)
Education: Bachelors Degree (or higher) in an IT related field.
