Full Job Description

The Business Manager will provide strategic and execution support to the Country Manager and the Chief Operating Officer on the projects and initiatives that are in line with the ING Hubs PH Priorities. This role involves managing hub-wide initiatives by monitoring progress and enabling execution of high-impact projects aligned to organizational goals.

The Executive Support function complements this by managing core administrative taskssuch as calendar and communication coordination, meeting documentation, and record managementensuring the executive team operates efficiently and stays focused on strategic priorities.

This role will report hierarchically to the Chief Operating Officer.

The Business Manager is expected to do the following:

  • Develop, implement, and oversee internal business processes while serving as a crossfunctional link to drive efficient and effective operations.
  • Build effective partnership with internal and external business units to help drive the business towards establishing and maintaining a culture of growth, service excellence, and support the company as it strives to deliver its business, product and people strategies
  • Pilot initiatives in several business units and scale up implementation to the rest of ING Hubs PH, working closely with each business lines Leadership Team

Main Tasks / Important Responsibilities

Strategy and Policy

  • Contributes towards the development of strategy and policy, formulates policy in policy documents and contributes towards implementation
  • Highlights opportunities and analyses problems detected; follows up on these matters. Suggests and implements improvements for internal business processes

Project Management

  • Advises and supports the Country Manager & the Chief Operating Officer in implementing projects
  • Prepares, socializes and monitors project plans
  • Sets up evaluation strategies and measures of success for every initiative
  • Organizes and facilitates planning and working sessions with different leaders across ING Hubs PH

Operations and Processes

  • Coordinates with local, Regional and Global teams to define and execute strategies that will help create efficiencies and further develop client experience
  • Linking pin with other supporting ING business units and initiates actions
  • Identifies synergies across domains to work through strategic solutions, including but not limited to organizational design, role migrations and financials
  • Closely monitors the teams dynamic plan relating to financials and process migrations, depending on the need, working closely with Local Finance, et al

Communication, Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

  • Is point of contact in communications from and to various stakeholders for specific initiatives
  • Can represent ING Hubs PH in global &/ stakeholder meetings
  • Optimizes communication within and between business units
  • Develops and maintains a network within the organization

Executive Support

  • Proactively manage the executives calendar, meetings, and priorities
  • Draft and prepare communications, reports, and presentations
  • Coordinate meetings, including minute-taking and follow-ups
  • Manage travel arrangements and expense reconciliations
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Liaise with internal and global stakeholders, including executive assistants
  • Support key projects and handle ad hoc requests
  • Demonstrate strong organization, attention to detail, professionalism, and discretion in handling confidential information
