We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Manager, Commercial Execution, IWPB Asia.

In this role you will:

  • Support to formulate the strategic priorities for IWPB (International Wealth and Premier Banking Business) Asia, and to drive the execution of strategic projects for the Region and local markets.
  • Support the deployment of commercial strategy and initiatives to maximize business outcome, including but not limited to proposition enhancement, affluent customer growth, channel diversification, wealth penetration, international connectivity, cross border service, and partnership development, etc.
  • Promote the collaboration agenda within IWPB as well as with home market and other LOBs. Drive the business development, project management, operation readiness as well as performance tracking to support the delivery of business goals with speed to market.
  • Ensure alignment of roadmap and timely exchange of feedback across workstreams. Promptly escalate risks observed for management attention and risk mitigation.
  • Prepare or support the preparation of related materials to articulate the business strategy.
  • Develop critical analysis and competitor benchmarking to facilitate management decision. Identify opportunities, share solid observation with business stakeholders, propose changes and drive alignment for improvement.
  • Prepare or support the preparation of related content for various Board and senior management meetings.
  • Support Group Strategy for special projects, including the coordination and administrative processes where needed.
  • Influence and champion progress via strong individual leadership. Nurture excellent and productive relationships with stakeholders across the wide community.
  • Maintain HSBC internal control standards. Understand, follow, and demonstrate compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures. Maintain integrity and fairness towards customers.

To be successful you will need:

  • Advanced experience in strategy formulation, execution roadmap design and implementation.
  • Proven ability in customer proposition, customer segment management and/or cross-border banking services development
  • Multi-years of experience in relevant business lines ie consumer banking, wealth or private banking especially in Asia market. Digital experience and capabilities will be valued.
  • Experience of P&L management is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Well developed project management skills. Proven track record in working in multi-function projects.
  • Excellent stakeholder management at senior level across the HSBC Group or a comparable organization. Significant interpersonal skills and ability to navigate and build relationships across different sets of stakeholders.
  • Ability to handle ambiguity in an evolving business environment and drive result.
  • Strong sense of team spirit and collaboration. Culturally sensitive. Experience with multi-geography teams or complex workstreams.
