Job Overview

APAC Equities business execution supports the APAC Regional Equities business on all aspects of the business including facilitating strategic initiatives within the Equities business while ensuring a robust control environment is maintained.  As such this role not only requires a strong business sense but also the ability to identify and mitigate risks for the business by working with support functions such as Legal, Risk, Finance, Operations, Technology and Compliance.


Responsibilities:

  • To support the APAC Equities senior management particularly on the Futures and Clearing business on executing the business strategies in the region including managing the implementation of new product capabilities or new countries
  • To work with the central control functions across the firm, particularly with regional and Global Equities to enhance, implement and deliver key controls and regulatory commitments across the APAC Equities business with the focus on the Futures and Derivatives business.
  • Liaise with various Control Groups and Technology to deliver control initiatives and regulatory commitments
  • Raise/ manage corrective action plans (CAPs) and track CAP implementation till closure
  • Collate and prepare materials for Business Reviews
  • Track revenue and expense against plan, work on budgeting of expenses
  • Drive productivity/ cost savings / process improvement initiatives in partnership with the senior management team
  • Seek out sources, track, consolidate and analyze ad-hoc and regular business requests, and serve as an escalation point.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
  • Coordinate internal / external reviews, e.g. regulatory inspection, IA reviews, external audits
  • Collaborate with regional and global teams to ensure consistent methodology, with a strong focus on ensuring compliance with Japan regulations and policies

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in a financial services role, relevant experience in Futures, Derivatives Execution and Clearing (FDC)
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of financial services industry
  • Demonstrated track record in managing risk & control
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Listed Derivatives and OTC Derivatives knowledge with understanding of clearing ecosystem. FDC business knowledge preferred.
  • Experience in Finance, Controls, Business Management role
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluent in English

  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Self-starter and highly motivated with a positive mind-set towards learning
  • Enthusiastic team player who can collaborate effectively with others to get things done.
  • Problem solving and issue diagnostics
  • Ability to conduct research/analysis and organize findings
  • Ability to independently juggle multiple priorities and ongoing tasks
