What youll do
From day one, youll be part of a dedicated team focused on building, growing, and protecting deep, trusted relationships with our Commercial Banking clients. Youll play a key role in helping clients succeed and safeguarding their legacy, while strengthening HSBCs position as a trusted partner.
Heres a taste of what youll get involved in:
- Get early exposure to clients: Youll start building connections from the outset, gaining insight into clients businesses, their goals, and how HSBCs solutions from sustainable supply chains to green bonds can support their success, because their success is our success.
- Act as the link between HSBC and its clients: Get to know clients inside out. That deep knowledge helps us ensure HSBC delivers the right solutions at the right time.
- Work with specialist teams: Partner with experts across the bank to grow client relationships and deliver tailored financial solutions. Work across geographies, and functions, including Legal, Credit, and
- Risk, to deliver for our clients.
- Get into the detail: Youll create client presentations, reports, and credit papers; support strategic reviews and pitches; and conduct financial analysis and risk assessments on client portfolios and transactions.
What youll learn
Your journey kicks off with structured training delivered by local and external experts to give you the technical know-how to hit the ground running.
Your graduate programme begins with two rotations across our product offering. Youll gain an understanding of how to construct a trade cycle, propose solutions for customers, and learn how new products and enhancements are introduced to the business, and our customers. Your final, and longest placement, will be in a customer facing or coverage role, helping you understand who our customers are, and how we serve them.
By the end of the graduate programme, youll have a solid understanding of our products, who are customers are and how we serve them, and be set up for a permanent role within one of our Coverage teams.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, you must:
- Be available to work full time from July 2027 onwards
- Have obtained, or expect to achieve, a minimum GPA of 4.0/5.0 or 3.2/4.0 (or overseas equivalent, as shown on your official university transcript/degree certificate)
- Be fluent in English, knowledge of Mandarin/Cantonese would be an advantage
- Be recent graduate with less than 2 years of full-time job experience, or will you have graduated by July 2027
