Credit & Capital Management (CCM) is a major contributor to Group performance, generating around $7bn in direct revenues, with borrowing clients providing 95% of CIB Banking revenue. Credit & Lending manages 627k customer journeys annually, $3.8tn of risk limits, $1.9tn in drawn exposure and $375bn of RWA, serving CIB, UK and HK and enabling all CIB products. CCM aims to build a world-class end-to-end credit management function that improves customer experience, modernises risk management, and strengthens balance sheet distribution, delivering priority programmes to simplify, digitise and automate credit and lending while creating a globally consistent organisation across CIB, UK and HK. It also drives requirements across all CCM markets, coordinating global and local stakeholders and building strong collaboration around shared issues and opportunities.

The Credit and Capital Management Product Manager supports the Regional CCM Services Lead and the Head of CCM Product & Design to shape and deliver the lending product strategy, covering product design, initiatives, and the ongoing management of CCM lending products and processes aligned to propositions, customer segmentation, and participation models.

In this position you will anticipate changing market conditionsincluding pricing, risk, regulation, and customer insightto drive product performance, while understanding regional and country requirements to deliver the global CCM product within local parameters. You will help drive global strategy execution through product oversight and governance, supporting a consistent Target Operating Model (TOM), and help develop performance metrics such as portfolio analytics and pricing tools. Other aspects of the role include supporting local initiatives and government schemes, contributing to risk indicators and monitoring, enabling governance submissions for new products and processes, and supporting revenue, ROTE, and profitability goals through key working groups and projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Apply credit and lending knowledge across the end-to-end Credit & Lending journey to inform work and decision-making
  • Capture, analyse and document complex requirements with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Drive requirements work through strong attention to detail and an analytical approach
  • Manage work to meet exacting timescales and delivery expectations
  • Collaborate with teams across functions to progress requirements capture and outcomes
  • Engage with frontline teams and/or teams closely supporting frontline teams to ensure requirements are well understood
  • Maintain a disciplined, detail-focused approach to ensure requirements are accurate and complete
  • Continuous learning and self-development over multiple related disciplines to strengthen capability and contribution

Requirements:

  • Credit and lending experience (e.g., RM or RM support, Credit Services, Operations, Risk, or Product)
  • Proven ability to deal with complex requirements
  • Ability to meet exacting timescales
  • Strong analytical background with a high degree of attention to detail
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams to drive requirements capture
  • Experience working within a frontline team or as part of a function which closely supports frontline teams is desirable
  • A passion to drive your own self-development across various connected disciplines

Preference will be given to candidates who hold Australian PR/Citizenship or New Zealand Citizenship, or who can demonstrate current unrestricted work rights in Australia without limitations.
