Full Job Description
We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Manager, Private Banking (12 months fixed term contract).
In this role you will:
Transaction Verification
- Review and process payment and securities transfer orders
- Reject transactions for corrections where required
- Support daily processes, control checks, and ad-hoc requestsError Resolution
- Identify discrepancies, operational errors, and policies breach
- Provide clear guidance and practical solutions to Front Line in line with procedures and policies
Stakeholder Communication
- Liaise with internal clients and downstream operations
- Engage stakeholders to gather requirements, running training and complete post reviews
- Review business initiatives to identify gaps and manage feasibility
Risk Control
- Verify clients transfer documents to ensure adherence to internal controls and regulatory guidelines.
Process Improvement
- Participate in user testing, process evaluation, documentation (including process flows, procedures, progress updates, and project materials).
- Recommend and help deliver improvements (process, system, and risk changes)
- Drive workflow enhancements, automation, and risk-reduction strategies
Reporting
- To prepare MI, regulatory reports, and ad-hoc reporting as needed
To be successful you will need:
- Experience in a checking/authorization role (payment or securities transfer preferred)
- Solid understanding of banking products, operation processes, and risks and controls fundamentals
- Comfortable multitasking: quick to learn and adaptable
- Performs well in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Bachelors degree (or equivalent)
- Proficiency in English and Chinese, both written and spoken
- Knowledge of Microsoft office skills is a plus
