HSBC is one of the largest banking and financial services organisations in the world, with operations in 64 countries and territories. We aim to be where the growth is, enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper, and, ultimately, helping people to fulfil their hopes and realise their ambitions.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Manager - Business Management

In this role, you will:

  • Partner with Shared Services and Value Streams across Performance Oversight, Service Oversight & Supplier Management (service catalogue, internal third-party management, governance/billing), and Workforce Strategy & Experience (strategic planning, capacity frameworks, colleague experience).
  • Deliver weekly service performance reporting with strong quality control: accuracy, timeliness, and clear narrative fit for senior stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with Data Feed Owners (DFOs) and Approvers to gather high-quality inputs, challenge commentary where needed, and secure clarifications fast.
  • Liaise with Business Managers to finalise packs for executive consumption, including CIB/HCIB and Entity COOs (UK, HK, AME).
  • Build an end-to-end understanding of Value Stream services, linking internal operational measures to tangible customer outcomes.
  • Prepare Customer Sentiment reporting, shifting from journey-based views to an outcomes-led approach with actionable insights.
  • Support delivery of CX experiments, ensuring consistent definitions, aligned metrics/OKRs across Value Streams, and timely updates for forums/board papers/governance.
  • Partner with Data & Analytics (and ServCo/internal teams) to drive automation, create reusable strategic data assets, reduce manual effort, and strengthen governance.
  • Simplify and rationalise how operational data is visualised and reported via enterprise solutions, continuously improving clarity and efficiency.
  • Work with Value Streams to set standardised, measurable, ambitious Operations/Servicing goals in the HR system; build strong stakeholder relationships; and produce interactive Excel dashboards and senior-ready presentations at pace (HCIB market experience desirable).

To be successful you will:

  • Graduate in any discipline (Commerce preferred) with 510 years experience in business management.
  • Strong understanding of HSBC structures, processes, and Group objectives.
  • Outstanding relationship management, collaboration, and influencing skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, able to tailor messages for different audiences.
  • Strong planning, organisation, and deadline management skills.
  • High proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint; Power BI is an advantage.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; proven ability to build networks across a globally distributed matrix.
  • Highly detail-oriented, self-motivated, self-disciplined, and well-organised.
  • Execution-focused, able to work independently, prioritise effectively, make sound day-to-day judgements, and perform under pressure.
  • Strong analytical capability to distil complex information into concise insights/recommendations, with experience using MS Office and internal AI tools in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
