Our 24 months Graduate Programme will make the most of your skills regardless of what subject youve studied. Group Chief Operating Office (GCOO) is a pivotal part of the Group, providing essential operational and technical support to our global businesses and helping improve customer service and efficiency. Group Chief Operating Office combines global expertise and technology to help keep us ahead of the competition.

We are currently seeking ambitious individuals to join this team in the role of GCOO Management Associate

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES*:
In this role you will:

  • Assist with day-to-day operations and administrative tasks for the whole GCOO (including relevant teams: Operations, Performance Services, Corporate Services, Procurement, Chief Control Office and Data & Architecture Office) to provide essential support for the bank through operations, technology, and key central business services;
  • Operations: handle daily operational transactions for Wholesale and Retail clients accurately in accordance with agreed quality standards, ensure that transactions are executed in accordance with the established procedures and standards, demonstrate ways to improve service quality and exceed customers expectations;
  • Performance Services: work with teams internally and externally out of DBS to provide business management support (e.g. communications, strategy execution, financial management, governance and people engagement, transformation, administrative matters, etc.) and a wide range of employee services and benefits;
  • Corporate Services: support Corporate Services functions including facilities management, space planning, property acquisition & disposal, leasing, health & safety, maintenance, design, construction and critical facilities management;
  • Procurement: assist with procurement activities to manage E2E lifecycle of all products, services and solutions provided to HSBC by external third-party vendors;
  • Chief Control Office: assist the Control Office with compliance monitoring, risk assessments, audits, etc.
  • Data & Architecture Office: assist to align with the Group Data strategy to protect, enhance and unlock data cross HSBC;
  • Identify best practice opportunities within the team;
  • Contribute to the creation of a supportive work environment driven by HSBC values;
  • Demonstrate ways to increase productivity in the process

REQUIREMENTS*:

  • Graduate with an undergraduate or post graduate Degree before Jul 2026 in operations management, project management, strategic management, business management, banking or equivalent from a recognised university in Vietnam or overseas. Currently hold a minimum 3.2 cumulative GPA or overseas equivalent
  • Experience with financial planning
  • Good knowledge of the products/systems/applications used in the operational environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Effective communication skills/ problem solving skills
  • Proficiency in Data Analytics/ Microsoft Office/ Power BI/ Organizational skills
  • Have the legal right to work in Vietnam
  • Be fluent in English and Vietnamese

The positions are for graduates looking for the skills, guidance, knowledge and global exposure to develop with a leading global bank. The programme provides opportunities to build your technical and leadership capabilities and, on completion, progress quickly into frontline role and fast track to first leadership role.

Applications must be submitted by the close of business on 05 July 2026. Candidates will be invited to take online numerical and verbal reasoning tests; situation judgement test and, if successful, a first-round interview. An assessment center will be held in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam in the next 2 weeks of 23 July 2026 for those who meet the required benchmarks at the first-round interview. The onsite interview will be organized at the final stage by end of July 2026.
