Were currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Credit Risk Policy Manager.
The Risk Policy and Projects Team own the Customers in Financial Difficulty policy and are responsible for ensuring that the 1st LoD (Line of Defence) adhere to the policy. The Customers in Financial Difficulty policy aims to provide fair customer outcomes for those in or approaching financial difficulty, typically manifesting in arrears. The 2nd LoD Risk Policy and Projects team is responsible for providing Risk Steward oversight to the activities performed by the 1st LoD Financial Support team.

In this role youll:
- Responsible for maintaining the UK RBW (Retail Banking and Wealth) Customers in Financial Difficulties Policy for both Collections and Recoveries including the Annual Policy Review, reflect changes in regulation and advances within the industry and on-going maintenance
- Setting, developing and monitoring adherence to the Customers in Financial Difficulties policy, ensuring the banks approach drives good customer outcomes and meets internal standards
- Ensuring that there is appropriate oversight of policy adherence by the 1stLoD and risk stewardship of Debt Collections Agencies and Debt Purchasers
- Ensuring that the Forbearance Tool kit meets the needs of our customer base, agreeing additions / changes supported by business case
- Support Credit Risk activity in delivery of the banks commercial strategy related to management of accounts in Recoveries
- Supporting change initiatives and operational change programmes, escalating any concerns appropriately
- Working with areas such as the Financial Support Team to deliver Collections and Recoveries change across the organisation
- Providing general guidance/direction to mentor members of the team or develop their skills.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Experience within a Risk discipline, within a Collections and/or Recoveries role
- Strong understanding of the regulatory and macro environments associated with Collections and Recoveries activities
- Knowledge of retail banking secured and unsecured credit products is beneficial but not essential
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to deal with multiple stakeholders at any one time
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, using a range of methods, with experience in report and policy writing
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to effectively managing multiple large workstreams concurrently within a project delivery environment.
