Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB)

HSBC Corporate and Institutional Banking is a markets-led, financing-focused business that provides investment and financial solutions. Through our international network, we connect emerging and mature markets, covering key growth areas. We partner with our corporate, government and institutional clients to help them achieve consistent, long-term performance. Our products and services include advisory, financing, prime services, research and analysis, securities services, trading and sales and transaction banking.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team.

In this role, you will:

  • To maximize the revenues of customer portfolio and increase the Bank's share of customer wallets
  • To maintain a high level of credit quality in the jobholder's customer portfolio and to mitigate the hidden risks of the evolving Banking products
  • To build effective customer relationships and to become the customers' preferred financial partner and trusted advisor.
  • To coordinate the Customer Service Team (CST) to ensure the clients' needs are covered in a proactive and efficient manner.
  • To be conversant with the global/local economies and able to respond to business opportunity faster than the Bank's competitors.
  • To be capable of discussing confidently and professionally with clients, a wide range of bank products which cover capital market, derivative products, M&A, global cash management, structured trade finance, insurance and asset management, etc.
  • To keep abreast of the trend and development of the sector/industries.
  • To preserve HSBC's reputation by strictly complying with the increasingly stringent external regulatory requirements.

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Ability to provide marketing support to senior relationship managers
  • Ability to establish rapport with members of client's management team
  • Ability to provide good analytical support to senior relationship managers
  • Strong PC skills (excel, PowerPoint etc.)
  • Good team player
  • Knowledge of HSBC Group structures and products
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of the spectrum of banking products and services
  • Understanding of risk management and credit mitigants
  • Good level of financial analysis ability
