As an Executive Director within the Futures Sales team in Singapore, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of our futures execution and clearing franchise across the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. This is a senior client-facing role requiring a sophisticated understanding of global futures markets, market structure, and regulatory frameworks.

You will be responsible for originating new institutional client relationships (including hedge funds, asset managers, sovereign wealth funds, and corporate hedgers), cross-selling the firms futures execution, and clearing capabilities, and managing existing high-value accounts. You will collaborate closely with global trading desks, product development, technology, operations, and compliance to deliver seamless, top-tier service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development & Origination: Identify, target, and secure new institutional client mandates for futures execution and clearing across Singapore and the broader APAC region.
  • Client Relationship Management: Serve as a trusted advisor to a portfolio of sophisticated institutional clients, understanding their investment strategies, margin requirements, and operational workflows.
  • Market & Product Advisory: Provide clients with timely market intelligence, structural insights, regulatory updates (e.g., MAS, CFTC, EMIR), and strategic execution ideas.
  • Cross-Asset Collaboration: Partner with Prime Brokerage, OTC Clearing, FICC, and Equities sales and trading desks to deliver the full suite of Goldman Sachs' capabilities to clients.
  • Onboarding & Integration: Lead the end-to-end client onboarding process, coordinating with Legal, Credit Risk, Compliance, and Operations to ensure efficient setup and risk mitigation.
  • Product Innovation: Work with product and engineering teams to enhance our electronic trading platforms, algorithmic execution tools, and post-trade clearing portals based on client feedback.

Basic Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelors degree or equivalent academic qualification.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7+ years of experience in institutional futures sales, futures clearing, or prime brokerage.
  • Licensing: Must possess or be eligible to obtain the relevant Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) representative licenses (e.g., Capital Markets Services license for trading in capital markets products).
  • Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of global futures markets, exchange rules, margin methodologies (e.g., SPAN, VaR-based portfolio margining), and electronic execution platforms.
  • Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven track record of presenting to C-suite executives and portfolio managers.
