Alternatives Capital Formation (ACF) is a global team with presence across 10 offices, including New York, London, Hong Kong and Singapore. 

The ACF group is responsible for fundraising, investor engagement and product strategy for the Goldman Sachs (GS) Alternatives platform across asset classes, including private equity, growth equity, private credit, real estate, infrastructure, sustainability, secondaries, hedge funds, and liquid alternatives. 

The Analyst will join the ACF team specializing in Asia Private Credit and will be based in Singapore. The Analyst will support the Asia Private Credit product lead and key responsibilities will include the analysis of the Private Credit investing and competitive landscape, building up subject matter expertise, working with various internal and external stakeholders on the structuring of investment vehicles, creating marketing materials, maintenance of investor/LP databases, analysis of Private Credit portfolio developments and performance as well as assisting with all aspects of investor/LP engagement and due diligence.  

The Analyst will partner with the firms Private Credit investing teams as well as the Alternatives sales teams globally. The team will also be responsible for managing internal/external stakeholder communications involving external investors/LPs, as well as the internal Private Credit investing, institutional client coverage, PWM, GS committee, legal, risk, compliance, operations, controller and tax teams. The team will also collaborate with other ACF teams across strategies to identify portfolio-wide solutions and best practices.

 The main areas of responsibility include:

  • Marketing Materials and Investor Communications: Coordinate closely with the Private Credit investment teams and other internal stakeholders such as legal and compliance to create and maintain presentation materials, fund reporting materials, and other forms of investor communication
  • Investor Targeting: Analysis of the Private Credit landscape and identification of the top capital allocators to Private Credit 
  • Investor Due Diligence: Support ongoing diligence work with prospective investors, respond to queries and coordinate timely follow ups to investor requests
  • Fund/Product Launches: Contribute to business development initiatives and assist with strategic planning for fund launches including fund structuring, product positioning, co-investments, private placement memoranda, marketing strategy, internal committee processes and investor due diligence/documentation
  • Support ACF Product Lead and Senior Leadership: Assist with the production of talking points, ad hoc presentations, and strategic projects
  • Product and Portfolio Knowledge: Develop a deep familiarity with the Private Credit landscape which would involve staying apprised of GS Alternatives strategies, regional/global sponsor activity, and supporting the maintenance/monitoring of portfolio track record and exits
  • Team Player and Culture Carrier: Contribute to a collegial team environment and participate in GS culture initiatives

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

GS AWM Private seeks to hire an analyst level individual who is highly motivated and a self-starter, as well as demonstrating strong analytical skills, sound commercial judgment and excellence in prior work. 

 In addition to the above, the successful candidate must have:

  • At least 1 year of full-time work experience in corporate finance, capital markets, fundraising, investor relations, asset management sales or Private Credit investing 
  • Ability to multi-task and execute a wide range of assignments  
  • Strong proficiency in PowerPoint, Word and Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively verbally and in written form
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Leadership and strong project management capabilities
  • Candidate should be able to quickly pivot between a variety of projects and be a team-oriented individual who thrives in a dynamic environment
  • Strong work ethic, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a desire to learn
  • Operate with the highest degree of professional integrity, motivation, and intellectual curiosity
