In this role you will:
- Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
- Complete forecasts, budgets, reporting, variance, and trend analysis; apply strategic insight to financial data to support the financial assessment of performance vs targets
- Consolidate detailed information succinctly and in a manner that can be effectively understood by a variety of audiences
- Develop presentations for use in senior leadership and site department review meetings to support forecast, budget and site decision making
- Explain and mentor department heads on their financial performance versus plans
- Coordinate month-end activities and prepare budgets and forecasts
- Assist in the development of the departments Standard Policies and Procedures
Requirements:
- CPA (Chartered Professional Accountant) designation or working towards a CPA and related experience
- Minimum of two to five years experience in operational accounting or finance; CPA designation is an asset, preferably within industrial environment
- Strong cost and technical accounting knowledge
- Excellent digital literacy, particularly in the Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License or equivalent
