Located in the Gulf of Carpentaria, approximately 900 km southeast of Darwin and 64 km from Borroloola, we produce and process zinc, lead, and silver from our open-cut operation. Our products are transported to our Bing Bong loading facility and shipped globally, playing a crucial role in essential commodities used for mobility, infrastructure, and communications.

About The Role:

As the Senior Advisor Monitoring, you will support environmental monitoring and reporting activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and environmental commitments. You will provide technical advice, support environmental approvals and projects, and contribute to the ongoing improvement of environmental performance across the operation.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver environmental projects and provide support to the Environment Specialist as required.
  • Provide professional environmental advice across the business.
  • Develop the schedule for compliance monitoring activities in line with regulatory approvals and commitments.
  • Prepare accurate and timely environmental reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Mentor and support team members within the Environment team.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive team culture.
  • Complete work to a high standard and within agreed timeframes.
  • Effectively manage priorities to maximise productivity and resource efficiency.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
  • Uphold company values and maintain a strong commitment to health, safety and environmental standards.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally, valuing diverse perspectives and building positive working relationships.

 

Key Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant environmental regulatory requirements within the Northern Territory.
  • Strong knowledge of mining operations and processes.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to analyse monitoring data and write technical reports.
  • A strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
