An exciting opportunity is available for an enthusiastic, proactive, and outcomes focused Human Resources Advisor to join the HR Operations team at Queensland Metals. Reporting to the HR Manager, this role offers the chance to work closely with operational leaders and employees, delivering high quality HR support while contributing to broader organisational objectives in a complex, operational environment. This role is residentially based in Mount Isa, working a 5/2 4/3 roster. We encourage suitably qualified and experienced local candidates to apply. For those candidates located outside of Mount Isa, relocation support is available for this position to enable you and your family to live and work in Mount Isa.

  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline
  • 35 years HR experience, ideally within the resources or heavy industry sector
  • Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and employment legislation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to influence, negotiate, and build effective relationships with stakeholders
  • Confidence acting as a trusted HR resource at all levels of the organisation
