Murrin Murrin Operations has an opportunity for an Electrical Supervisor to join our established and dedicated team.

Murrin Murrin Operations is Australias largest cobalt producer and a major world producer of nickel. Our Murrin Murrin site in WAs northern Goldfields is an integrated nickel and cobalt mining and processing operation employing over 1,000 people. We are a diverse, dedicated and driven workforce, building a sustainable business today with a focus on tomorrow.

Murrin Murrin Operations is wholly owned by Glencore, one of the worlds largest globally diversified natural resources companies and a major producer and marketer of more than 60 commodities. Glencore employs over 145,000 people operates around 150 operating mining and processing sites, oil production assets and agricultural facilities in over 35 countries.

The Role

Our site is a fully operational mine and hydrometallurgical processing facility which offers a unique environment in which to work. Whilst you will be assigned to work within one process area, you will also have the opportunity to gain exposure to other areas of our plant encompassing Ore Leach, Utilities and Refinery. In this role you will work an 8/6 or 2/2 roster, predominately on days and occasional additional coverage across other areas of site.

You will be responsible for:
  • Directing and supervising the activities of a team of Electrical Instrument Technicians
  • Assessing training requirements and measuring team performance
  • Ensuring targets are achieved in an efficient and safe manner
  • Developing ongoing working relationships with other production and maintenance personnel
  • Reporting to the Electrical Maintenance Superintendent
  • Ensuring site safety protocols and standards are applied across all work undertaken

About You

This role would suit a self-motivated, competent electrician/instrument technician. 

You will also have:
  • Proven experience supervising and coordinating E/l maintenance teams
  • A Western Australian A Grade Electrical Licence 
  • Evidence of successfully passing an applicable legislation examination for statutory supervisors.
  • Process plant, power generation of utilities industry experience
  • Exposure to maintenance management software
  • HV switching certificate (preferred)
  • Gas Authorisation Holder (preferred)
