The Digital Assets Technology team at Franklin Templeton is focused on delivering technology to represent shares in investment products with tokens issued on blockchain platform(s), enabling live trading on a 24/7 basis. The team supports a mobile application for retail investors, a website for institutional investors, and an internal administrative tool for customer support teams. The team works on both enhancing the current platform with new products and features.

We are looking for a full stack software developer who has practical experience with a meaningful and interesting cross-section of the following technologies, practices, concepts, and domains, to join us as a Senior Software Engineer in Singapore.

How You Will Add Value?

Core Responsibilities:

  • Microservice software architecture

  • Mobile application development for large scale public usage

  • Front-end frameworks such as React, Flutter, and web components

  • Public API management, versioning, and governance

Technical Delivery & Platforms:

  • Java, TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, Rust, Spring, Springboot, YAML/XML/JSON

  • Azure PaaS services such as Cosmos, Service Bus, Functions, and SQL Server, along with AWS counterparts

  • Kubernetes, Zookeeper, Zuul, Eureka

  • Zipkin, Splunk, Kibana, Grafana, Argo

  • Helm Charts and Atlassian tooling

  • Public blockchain protocols such as Stellar, Ethereum, and Solana

Team & Collaboration:

  • Provide technical leadership and coaching

  • Brainstorm solutions to complex software problems

  • Engage with partners and internal stakeholders

  • Work in a dynamic team environment with minimal supervision

  • Support mission critical production systems

  • Documentation and technical writing

  • Design and execute unit, integration, profiling, and end-to-end testing

What Will Help You Be Successful in This Role?

Experience:

  • At least 8 years of professional software engineering experience on mission critical systems

  • Relevant industry experience in investment management preferred

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies

Soft Skills:

  • Ability to adapt quickly to business changes

  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills

  • Strong organization, planning, and time management skills
