Job Description:
This VP level role reporting into Head of CEG will drive the Strategy to Execution Engine for Client Engagement Group by translating strategic priorities into actionable plans, align teams around shared objectives, and drive execution of the organizations most critical initiatives to achieve long-term growth and impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Were looking for a VP, Strategic Planning & Initiatives to report to the Head of CEG and partner closely with senior leaders across the organization to shape strategy, drive alignment, and ensure execution of our highest priorities.
This role sits at the center of CEG connecting teams, translating strategy into action, and helping leaders operate as a highly aligned, high-performing group. This executive role partners with senior leadership to identify growth opportunities, improve organizational performance and drive strategic programs that align with Fidelity Philanthropic Services mission and long-term objectives.
Driving Functional Strategy
Lead development of CEGs strategic planning process and long-range business planning.
Translate enterprise priorities into clear, actionable plans that support growth, innovation and operational excellence.
Partner with competitive insights team to conduct market analysis, competitive assessment and evaluation of overall performance.
Continuously refine strategy based on business and client insights.
Strategic Initiatives Management
Oversee high-priority initiatives and cross-functional projects.
Establish governance structures, timelines and accountability measures.
Drive organizational change management and fundraising improvement initiatives.
Enable Alignment Across Leaders
Partner with senior leaders across CEG to align priorities and drive enterprise outcomes.
Connect work across teams, help remove silos and collaborate with department leaders to prioritize and execute business objectives.
Support decision-making with clear framing, data, and trade-offs.
Lead operating rhythm
Lead CEGs operating cadence (business reviews, leadership forums, offsites).
Establish metrics and track progress against key priorities.
Ensure follow-through and accountability on critical initiatives.
Accelerate Execution
Turn strategy into sequenced, executable plans.
Lead cross-functional initiatives and manage dependencies.
Identify risks early and help accelerate decisions.
Present strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
Shape the Narrative
Develop clear, consistent messaging on priorities and progress.
Prepare leadership for strategic recommendations and overall executive engagement.
Align CEG leadership messaging with FPS SLT and department heads.
The Expertise You Bring:
1012 plus years of experience in strategy, consulting, or business management.
Proven ability to translate strategy into execution and measurable results.
Experience working with senior leaders in complex, matrixed organizations.
Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving skills.
Ability to influence without authority and drive alignment across teams.

Comfort operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.

The Fidelity Charitable Gift Fund ('Fidelity Philanthropic Services') is a public charity that sponsors the largest national donor-advised fund program. Since 1991, Fidelity Philanthropic Services has introduced tens of thousands of donors to the benefits and increased charitable impact of using a donor-advised fund to meet their philanthropic goals. This nonprofit division of Fidelity Investments helps individuals and families make tax-efficient charitable donations and distribute those funds to charities over time. Fidelity Philanthropic Services is governed by an independent Board of Trustees, which has hired Fidelity Investments as the service provider to the charity. Fidelity Investments provides all of the charitable organizations employees and supports all of its functions: Program Development, Marketing, Service Delivery, Relationship Management, Legal, Investments, Finance, Technology, Risk and Compliance, and Fundraising.
The base salary range for this position is $130,000-$264,000 per year.Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidates relevant experience, and other factors.
Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
