Job Title: Sr. Manager, Workplace Insights
The Role
Fidelitys Workplace Investing (WI) Client Engagement Group is seeking a strategic and analytical professional to join our Competitive Insights team as a Sr. Manager, Workplace Insights. In this role, you will conduct competitor research and analysis focused on workplace benefits solutions, delivering actionable insights that support product strategy, sales enablement, and market positioning.
This is a hands-on, value-adding role suited for someone who enjoys working collaboratively and is motivated by using data and research to influence business decisions. This role suits someone who is inherently inquisitive, with a strong interest in emerging technologies and industry trends, continuously seeking to deepen knowledge and uncover insights. Youre a great fit for this role if you are comfortable operating in ambiguous environments, with a strong ability to synthesize disparate information, identify patterns, and translate findings into clear, actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct competitive research to identify trends, opportunities, and threats in the workplace benefits space.
- Translate complex data into clear insights that inform decision-making across product, sales, and relationship management teams.
- Develop and communicate a strong point of view on market dynamics and implications for Fidelity.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external research vendors.
- Transform large datasets and apply analytical techniques to uncover meaningful patterns and opportunities.
- Present findings through compelling written, verbal, and visual storytelling tailored to executive and cross-functional audiences.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in research, data analysis, or competitive intelligence.
- Understanding of market and competitive research methodologies, sources, and tools.
- Proven ability to synthesize complex information and communicate insights effectively to diverse audiences.
- Experience influencing through research-backed recommendations.
- Demonstrated familiarity with and experience researching recordkeeping fintech solutions, HRIS platforms, and the broader disruptor ecosystem.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across sales, product, and relationship management teams.
- Proficiency in transforming and analyzing large datasets; familiarity with tools such as Excel, PowerBI, Tableau, etc.
- Exceptional communication skillswritten, verbal, and visualwith confidence presenting.

Fidelity's Workplace Investing business is the market-leading provider of retirement, investment and benefits solutions for more than 26,000 companies and their 50 million employees. The Workplace Insights team is responsible for driving informed decisions and setting strategic direction through actionable insights and consultative partnerships that put the client, advisor and employee at the center of everything we do. We partner closely with key leaders and functions across WI and the enterprise, including the Business Domains, Communications, Marketing, Finance and Technology.
Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidates relevant experience, and other factors.
Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
