The Role

The administrative staff at Fidelity plays a vital role in the company's success, and the individuals serving in these positions are recognized by their colleagues as key members of the team. The executive assistant will support three leaders of the Corporate Communications team. Excellent communications and organizational skills will be constantly put to the test, as will the ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously, work through unknowns while working in a dynamic, fast-paced business environment.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • 5 plus years of experience preferably in a professional office environment.

  • Strong working Microsoft Office experience (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), and have the aptitude to learn new technology and digital tools quickly.

  • Proficient with Concur, eReview and DocuSign, vendor management processes.

  • Excellent writing, communication and editing skills, and are attentive to details

  • Have a polished calm demeanor and professionalism to be proactive and collaborate with management across all levels within Fidelity; as well as the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

  • Effective time management skills, with ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks simultaneously, reacting and thinking quickly.

  • Some event planning, leadership offsites and meeting coordination required.

  • A self-starter, able to work independently with a strong sense of ownership, involvement, and resolve. Comfort in seeking clarification or resolution when asked to assist with problem solving or troubleshooting issues.

  • A flexible teammate, willing to get involved and assist the work of the larger team across a variety of other duties, including backing-up peers in Communications.

  • Seamlessly manage the calendars, expenses and travel plans for three senior communications leaders, including the heads of the Fidelity Newsroom, Regional Communications and Leadership Communications and perform other duties as determined by leaders.

  • Contribute to the onboarding experience and underlying success of new hires, transfers and other associates and leaders joining Corporate Communications.

  • Troubleshoot and support with escalations. Field questions from various audiences and direct them to the right people.

  • Help your assigned teams be more effective and efficient; create high performing teams.

  • Support new office standards and processes.

  • Ensure high-quality deliverables without compromising standards, best practices, and risk.

  • Be agile and flexible in supporting the ever-evolving support model as our business needs continue to change over time.

About Corporate Communications

The Team

Fidelitys Communications organization is responsible for protecting and strengthening the firms reputation, enabling business priorities, and engaging key stakeholders through clear, consistent, and compelling communications.

Fidelitys Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.

The base salary range for this position is $60,000 - $92,000 per year.

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidates relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
