About your team

  • Hong Kong Fund Accounting and Control is responsible for overseeing outsourced fund accounting services for Fidelitys Hong Kong fund range, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timely delivery of key fund accounting activities performed by third-party administrators. The team monitors NAV production, valuation processes, fund expenses, regulatory compliance, and service quality to safeguard investor interests and maintain a strong control environment.
  • Working closely with Fund Administrators, Compliance, Product, Investment, and Risk teams, the function supports issue resolution, regulatory change implementation, financial reporting, and product-related initiatives. The team also drives continuous process improvements, operational resilience, and efficiency enhancements across the Hong Kong fund platform.
  • We have also Dalian capabilities, where Fund Accounting, Cash and Reconciliation service, Trade Management Service, Corporate Actions, Client Service and Reporting, Publishing, Performance Attribution, Service Implementation are operated to support Hong Kong business.

About your role

  • Oversee fund accounting activities for Hong Kong funds, ensuring accurate and timely NAV production, valuation policy compliance, and fund data delivery to stakeholders.
  • Monitor fund expenses, TERs, rebates, aged cash/income/WHT items, and swing factor calculations for pension and retail funds.
  • Coordinate with fund administrators on service quality reviews and contribute to monthly service level discussions.
  • Support fund launches, restructurings, financial statement preparation, audits, and other product-related initiatives.
  • Maintain operational controls, including procedures, issue logs, BCP/DR testing, and risk management activities.
  • Support due diligence activities relating to fund accounting operations.
  • Coordinate fund tax compliance activities, including tax returns, tax reporting, and regulatory tax filings, ensuring timely completion and appropriate governance with service providers and Tax team.
  • Drive process improvements and support mid-scale projects and automation initiatives.
  • Act as delegate for the Senior Manager

About you

  • A recognised Accountancy Qualification is required
  • 5-6 years Fund Accounting/Administration experience
  • Detailed understanding of fund accounting for Hong Kong product would be a strong advantage
  • Experience of Investment Services & Fund Accounting processes [i.e. Trade Settlements, Corporate Actions, Security Pricing, Cash & Control and Fund Accounting & Valuation disciplines] is preferred
  • Ability to resolve & action Fund Accounting queries & requests in a quick & efficient manner
  • Good awareness of the risk environment and the ability to identify, and escalate potential risks within the function
  • An aptitude for developing/enhancing work practices through the introduction of efficiencies
  • Accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of service delivery, documentation and reporting
  • Ability to communicate confidently & effectively with peers & seniors within the organisation and with external parties
  • Good organisational & planning skills, with the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • A proven self-starter with strong commitment and a flexible attitude
