The Role
Are you ready to play a key role in shaping Fidelitys retail real estate strategy and portfolio? As Director of Transactions and Leasing, you will drive complex deal strategy, influence senior stakeholders, and deliver solutions that align with evolving business priorities. This is an opportunity to operate at a strategic level while remaining close to execution and market dynamics. You will also bring your deep experience working for national retailers to inform site strategy, lease structuring, and market positioning across Fidelitys footprint.
This role is responsible for leading and executing complex real estate transactions, including lease negotiations, renewals, restructures, extensions, and relocations across a retail national portfolio. Responsibilities include developing and implementing transaction strategies, partnering with business leaders to align real estate decisions with workforce and operational needs, and overseeing transactions from initial underwriting through execution and close. The role involves managing broker relationships, negotiating directly with landlords and ownership groups, coordinating with legal and finance teams, and ensuring consistency with corporate real estate strategy. Additional responsibilities include analyzing market conditions, evaluating financial structures, identifying risks and opportunities, and supporting portfolio optimization initiatives.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
We are seeking a highly experienced retail real estate leader with deep expertise in transaction management, leasing strategy, and complex negotiations. The ideal candidate brings a strong track record of executing large-scale or multi-market transactions, combined with advanced financial acumen and the ability to translate business objectives into actionable real estate solutions. This role requires strong leadership, including influencing senior stakeholders, managing external partners, and driving alignment across competing priorities. The ability to operate independently, exercise sound judgment, and deliver results in a fast-paced, evolving environment is critical.
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience (preferred)
- Significant experience in commercial real estate transactions, leasing, or and contract negotiations for large national retailers
- Demonstrated success negotiating complex lease agreements and driving transaction strategy
- Strong financial and analytical skills, including lease analysis and structuring
- Experience managing brokers and external service providers
- Ability to influence and communicate effectively with senior internal stakeholders
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent transactions

The base salary range for this position is $103,000-211,000 USD per year.Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidates relevant experience, and other factors.
Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
