The Role

Are you looking to join a highly collaborative, fastpaced organization where you can help shape the future of institutional trading and drive transformative business solutions? Fixed Income remains one of the most critical and innovative segments of global financial markets, and our Bond Trading Technology organization is building the next generation of trading capabilities that support multiple desks across the Fixed Income business. We are seeking a Director of Product Management who is energized by the complexities of trading technology, passionate about modern market structure, and motivated by the opportunity to influence a platform used by traders, quants, and strategists across the enterprise.

As Director, Product Management, you will blend your passion for product leadership and fixed income market expertise to deliver meaningful value for our traders and crosscompany partners. In this role, you serve as the endtoend owner of your delivery teams culture, strategy, and execution. Operating within an agile structure, you will partner with technology, trading, and operations leaders to drive strategic decisions, shape the product roadmap, and align resources to the highestvalue opportunities. You will define and refine quarterly and annual missions, and lead a focused, empowered team to deliver capabilities that modernize how our bond trading desks operate.

Through continuous planning, prioritization, and stewardship of the product backlog, you will ensure shared clarity on the why and the what that shape when work is executed. You will enable your delivery teams to work iteratively, innovate through testing and experimentation, and learn quickly from feedback loops all while maintaining a disciplined approach to quality, stability, and performance. You are committed to elevating your own expertise in trading technology and fixed income markets so you can bring leadingedge thinking, modern practices, and a strong strategic voice to the role.

  • Defining, evaluating, and communicating product and delivery results against goals and acceptance criteria
  • Building an empowered team that leverages proven frameworks and standard processes and strives for delivery excellence and exceptional quality
  • Candid feedback and solutions-oriented mentality to help identify and address organizational and product risks, issues, and challenges
  • Support of product to help ensure high customer satisfaction and production stability
  • Measuring efficacy of and innovating our established processes and tools to help deliver more effective and efficient results for our business, technology, and team
  • Collaborating and coordinating with engineering leaders, program/project leads, and delivery team members to build capacity and capability and enable delivery team member learning and development
  • Build collaboration by identifying and conveying common interests and priorities across other delivery teams and/or Fixed Income Technology products (including removing barriers and breaking down silos)
  • Being a role model for and daily mentoring of a team of systems analysts on analysis processes, opportunities, and professional development

The Skills and Expertise You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree (or above) in technology related field
  • 8 years of experience in business/systems analysis, product owner, and/or product management with 4 years experience in a product manager/delivery team leader capacity
  • Excellent communication, organization and planning, and presentation skills
  • Proven experience designing, developing, and maintaining large, complex, and dynamic products and solutions
  • Agile, Jira, and Jira Align experience
  • Investment management experience preferred, fixed income trading experience a plus
  • Committed to developing a balance of business domain knowledge and technology skills to fully appreciate the broad needs of our customers and products
  • Take a data-focused approach and regularly seek out the expertise of colleagues to understand customer requirements, propose solutions, and measure results
  • Establish and maintain unquestioning relationships as you work across business, technology, internal, and external stakeholders to deliver outcomes
  • Excel in articulating the key user and customer benefits of bond trading capabilities, functions, and features as they contribute to the success of fixed income businesses
  • Develop a product strategy, roadmap, and plans for development, delivery, and support
  • Translate strategic objectives into consumable, actionable plans, and prioritize/sequence the work to increase the rate at which value is delivered
  • Grasp sophisticated product features and translate them into clear and concise artifacts to build common understanding
  • Derive epics and end-to-end workflows that can be broken down into stories with well-defined business value and acceptance criteria
  • Track record of building highly engaged, hard-working teams with a strong focus on execution and the ability to identify, communicate, and remove impediments
  • Effective at running fusions for estimating and planning large efforts that articulate the project demands, assumptions, schedule, and risks, and help inform product roadmap and capacity needs
  • Capable of leading, influencing, and motivating colleagues on solutions, best practices, and tools without formal authority, and being a day-to-day mentor/coach for the analyst team members
  • Innovative, intellectually curious, and a team player who can continuously improve our culture, process, and tools, and encourage an agile way of working

The Team
You work in partnership with the Bond Trading stakeholders, delivery team members, VP Product Management, peer product managers, program/project leads, architects, and engineering leaders aligned to your delivery team. By demonstrating and promoting Fidelity and agile leadership principles, you sustain and evolve our innovative agile culture.

Fidelitys Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
