Actuary
The Role
Based in Bermuda, this role is a key member of the actuarial team, reporting to the Valuation Actuary. The role will be responsible for developing and maintaining actuarial models supporting the liability valuation and reserving under the Bermuda EBS framework and US GAAP, as well as contributing to the overall valuation reporting process.
Support end-to-end EBS and US GAAP valuation process, including quarterly and year-end reporting
Assist in the design, governance and documentation of the valuation process
Provide additional actuarial support for the Companys Investment, Risk, and ALM functions
Support the Companys multi-year financial planning process
Provide support to the Approved Actuary and external auditors in meeting the reporting requirements
Ensure an accurate transition and smooth integration of pricing models into the Companys corporate model framework
Other actuarial support as appropriate
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
5+ years of life and annuity insurance and/or reinsurance experience
Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA)
Familiar with US life and annuity product designs and features
Experienced MG-ALFA user with a comprehensive actuarial modeling skillset
Strong US GAAP and Bermuda solvency framework experience
Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative style
Ability to effectively prioritize and manage workload with a sense of urgency
Ability to be a team player, assisting where needed across various corporate functions to achieve operational goals
Preferred Skills:
Valuation and capital management
Asset-liability management (ALM) experience
Financial reporting and analysis, with familiarity in regulatory reporting frameworks
Actuarial modeling expertise, including model governance, controls and validation
Investment knowledge relevant to life reinsurance
