Job Role Description

An Occupational and Public Health Expert is a recognized technical leader who supports multiple sites or countries. They make significant decisions by analyzing complex situations and are capable of working independently on broad initiatives. Their strong Occupational and Public Health knowledge and experience, along with effective communication, enables them to work well with diverse groups and management. They are trusted experts who address atypical challenges, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions

Job Role Responsibilities

Serve as subject matter expert in one or more occupational health and / or public health areas
Monitor internal and external environments and apply learnings across businesses
Ensure the quality of clinical services meet industry standards, legal requirements and the corporate health policy and proactively propose mitigations or improvements to close gaps
Lead development and evaluation of evidence-based occupational health, public health and wellness programs / processes utilizing current science / evidence to achieve global consistency and to drive continuous improvement
Evaluate Medicine and Occupational Health activity, outcome and impact metrics, develop insights and implement necessary data driven enhancements
Analyze worker / population health data and identify insights to enhance worker health promotion programs
Develop and implement advanced health advice and education to individuals or groups of employees
Public Health (Substance Abuse Testing and Control Unit, Infectious Disease Control, Culture of Health)
Plan for and manage widespread active infectious disease outbreak or threat, capturing learnings and improving preventive measures
Engage with vendors proactively to ensure optimal processes in place and periodically review metrics and collaborate effectively with senior management to recommend and implement changes, as appropriate
