About the department

Being part of Euronext Market Services, the Issuers Services Department is at the heart of the Euronext organization. Derivative Corporate Actions and Index Operations is part of the Issuers Services Department and manages all Corporate Actions for both derivatives and indices, as well as ensuring the listing of all new derivatives products on a global scale. The team operates daily from 08.00 17.30 CET.

Derivatives Corporate Actions and Index Operations is a preferred entry point for all talents to work in Euronext or more broadly in the financial markets industry. The team in Amsterdam is a team that consists of 17 enthusiastic professionals with a balanced mix of junior and senior people that all bring different expertise.

About the position

The Corporate Actions Analyst has responsibility over the processing of all changes to the derivatives due to Corporate Actions, as well as the listing of new derivatives products. The candidate will primarily be responsible for:

  • Search, studies and analyses information to spot Corporate Actions for index and derivatives or updates the already known Corporate Actions.
  • Assesses the effect of Corporate Actions on the markets and the relevant products, consults all relevant parties and sends out the necessary information.
  • Aware of main developments /issues/events in the market and how these (can) result in a Corporate Action.
  • Ensures that the adjustment for Corporate Actions is performed in accordance with the CA Policy.
  • Provides clients with information on the corporate actions policy and corporate actions updates.
  • Inform market participants of the CA operations by sending out Notices
  • Responsible for setting up new derivatives products in the referential tool
  • Develop and maintain excellent contacts and working relationships with other internal departments, external stakeholders and Management.
     

Your profile

  • At least 1-3 year of experience, preferably in the financial industry.
  • Knowledge of derivatives pricing and corporate actions is required.
  • Able to work independently and shows good level of initiative.
  • A strong personality with a high level of integrity and strong attention to detail.
  • An energetic team player, who is able to multi task.
  • Bachelor or masters degree in economics or related field.
  • Proficient knowledge of Excel (knowledge of visual basics and phyton is a plus).
  • Effective written and oral communication skills in English
  • Affinity with databases and some IT knowledge
  • Experience with Bloomberg is a plus.
