Full Job Description

The profile is intended for a junior SAP ABAP developer with hands-on experience in SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA environments. The candidate should already have practical exposure to SAP development activities and be able to support assigned developments with guidance from senior developers or technical leads.

The candidate would be expected to contribute to ABAP development activities such as reports, ALV, enhancements, debugging, unit testing, technical documentation, and defect resolution.

 

Key technical skills expected include:

  • Good working knowledge of SAP ABAP programming
  • Experience with reports, ALV, Data Dictionary objects, function modules, and debugging
  • Exposure to enhancements such as user exits, BADIs, or implicit/explicit enhancements
  • Understanding of SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA development environments
  • Basic knowledge of transport request handling
  • Ability to analyse functional specifications and translate them into technical developments
  • Ability to perform unit testing and support issue resolution

Additional exposure to ABAP OOP, CDS Views, OData, RAP, Fiori backend development, Adobe Forms, Smart Forms, IDoc, BAPI, RFC, or SAP Clean Core principles would be considered an advantage.

In terms of experience, the profile would be suitable for a candidate with approximately 2 to 3 years of hands-on SAP ABAP development experience, preferably gained through implementation, support, enhancement, or migration projects.

The candidate should also demonstrate good analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, willingness to learn, teamwork, and a professional attitude.
