EY GDS AI & Data Senior Manager Supply Chain Operations Analytics

Service Line: Consulting AI & Data / Supply Chain Operations

 

About the Role

At EY GDS, you will lead and grow the Supply Chain Operations Analytics practice shaping strategy, building competencies, and delivering large-scale AI and analytics transformation programs for global clients. As a Senior Manager, you are a business operator first: you own delivery outcomes, manage and develop high-performing teams, engage senior client and EY leadership, and convert opportunities into sales while bringing strong supply chain functional depth and hands-on technical credibility.

 

Key Responsibilities

Business & Practice Leadership

  • Manage and grow the supply chain analytics practice/competency define capability roadmaps, build assets and accelerators, and expand service offerings across supply chain planning and operations.
  • Operate as a business owner: drive utilization, revenue contribution, delivery margins, and practice health metrics.
  • Partner with senior EY leadership (Partners/Directors) and client executives (VP/CXO level) to shape analytics transformation agendas.
  • Lead pursuits end-to-end identify opportunities, shape proposals and solutions, present to client leadership, and convert sales; support account growth and pipeline development.
  • Drive innovation and thought leadership POVs, industry solutions, and next-generation offerings in generative and agentic AI for supply chain.

 

Delivery Ownership

  • Own end-to-end delivery of multiple concurrent engagements solution architecture, quality, timelines, commercials, risk, and client satisfaction.
  • Oversee the design, build, deployment, and monitoring of advanced analytics and AI solutions across demand, supply, inventory, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, aftermarket, and spares planning.
  • Establish delivery governance, review mechanisms, and best practices across engagements.

 

People Leadership

  • Build, lead, and mentor teams of managers, data scientists, and supply chain consultants (typically 1530+ professionals).
  • Own talent development hiring, capability building, performance management, career coaching, and succession planning within the competency.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, quality, and client-centricity.

 

Supply Chain Functional Expertise (SME depth in two or more)

  • Demand planning statistical/ML forecasting, demand sensing, NPI forecasting
  • Inventory & supply planning multi-echelon inventory optimization, safety stock, S&OP/IBP
  • Logistics & network planning network design/optimization, transportation planning, route optimization
  • Manufacturing analytics asset maintenance (predictive/prescriptive), quality analytics, production planning & scheduling, manufacturing operations/OEE analytics
  • Procurement planning spend analytics, supplier risk and performance analytics, sourcing optimization
  • Warehousing capacity, labor, and slotting analytics
  • Aftermarket & spares planning service parts forecasting, spares inventory optimization

 

Analytics & AI Skills

  • Descriptive & diagnostic KPI frameworks, root-cause analytics, control towers, visualization
  • Predictive machine learning and deep learning for forecasting, anomaly detection, risk prediction
  • Prescriptive optimization (LP/MIP/heuristics), simulation, scenario planning
  • Generative AI LLM-based solutions, RAG, conversational analytics/insight assistants for supply chain
  • Agentic AI multi-agent workflows for autonomous planning, exception management, and decision support
  • Ability to guide solution architecture decisions and review technical designs with credibility, even where delivery is executed by teams.

 

Tools & Technology

  • Programming & data: Python, PySpark, SQL, big data tools
  • Visualization: Power BI, Tableau
  • Cloud platforms: Azure, AWS, or GCP (ML services, data pipelines, MLOps)
  • Good to have: planning platforms (Blue Yonder, o9, Kinaxis, SAP IBP, Anaplan); live data streaming and ingestion tools
  • Use of AI tools for coding, code reviews, design, dashboarding, content generation, etc.

 

Experience & Education

  • 1012+ years of experience in industry/consulting, with at least 68 years in supply chain advanced analytics solution design and delivery, and a proven track record of leading teams and managing client relationships at senior levels.
  • Demonstrated experience in practice/competency management, sales conversion, and delivery ownership; global client experience strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree (Industrial/Production Engineering, Statistics, Economics, or related) and a master's degree in Statistics, Economics, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or Data Science preferred; MBA/PhD is an advantage.
  • Certifications in Python, AI/ML, optimization, simulation, or cloud platforms (Azure/GCP/AWS) are an added advantage.
