The opportunity

EY Malaysia is seeking a Learning Business Partner to support the delivery of our learning and capability agenda, aligned to business priorities and workforce needs. 

 

This role operates as a trusted advisor to Service Line leadership, translating business priorities into actionable learning and capability solutions. You will work closely with Strategic Talent Consultants and Learning teams to ensure that learning investments are relevant, coordinated, and impactful. 

 

The position requires a balance of business acumen, strong stakeholder management, and execution discipline, with a focus on delivering consistent, high-quality learning experiences that support performance and growth. 

 

Your key responsibilities

 

Business Partnership & Capability Alignment 

 

  • Act as a trusted learning advisor to Service Line stakeholders, understanding business priorities and translating these into targeted learning and capability solutions 
  • Partner with Strategic Talent Consultants and Service Line leadership to shape annual learning plans and priorities aligned to business strategy 
  • Identify and validate evolving skill requirements and capability gaps, ensuring alignment with organisational goals
  • Learning Solution Design & Orchestration 
  • Work with design and development teams to define and deliver fit-for-purpose learning solutions that address root causes and performance needs 
  • Serve as the central point of coordination across design, development, and deployment teams to ensure end-to-end solution alignment and quality 
  • Provide clear direction on learning requirements, ensuring solutions are practical, scalable, and aligned with internal standards 


Learning Deployment & Delivery Excellence 

 

  • Partner with Learning Deployment teams to ensure effective rollout and execution of Service Line curricula
  • Monitor and drive learner consumption, engagement, and completion, in collaboration with business stakeholders 
  • Ensure consistency and relevance of the learning curriculum catalogue while minimising duplication across Service Lines 
  • Governance, Reporting & Continuous Improvement 
  • Track and report on learning performance, utilisation, and impact, providing insights to stakeholders to support decision-making 
  • Manage learning budgets and funding requirements for assigned Service Lines 
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance learning effectiveness, efficiency, and user experience 

 

Collaboration & Team Contribution 

 

  • Champion a one Learning team mindset, collaborating effectively across Learning & Development and Talent teams
  • Work across Service Lines and functional teams to ensure alignment and sharing of best practices
  • Contribute to broader learning initiatives and transformation efforts across the firm

  • Credibility and confidence in engaging with senior stakeholders and influencing learning priorities

To qualify for the role, you must have 

 

  • Relevant experience in Learning & Development, Talent, HR Business Partnering, or similar 
    roles in a complex organisation
  • Proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships and deliver initiatives aligned to 
    business priorities
  • Experience in planning and coordinating learning or capability development programmes
  • Strong organisational and project management skills
  • A recognised university degree or equivalent professional qualification 

 

Ideally, youll also have 

 

  • Experience in professional services or similarly fast-paced, matrixed environments
  • Exposure to regional or global operating models
  • Familiarity with learning analytics, learning systems, or digital learning solutions
