Dow Jones is seeking a Manager, Strategy & Growth to help shape the future growth of The Wall Street Journal and Dow Jones. You will tackle some of our most important strategic opportunities - from evaluating new businesses and partnerships to informing operating strategy, competitive positioning, and long-term growth initiatives.

This is a broad, high-impact role for someone who enjoys solving complex business problems. One week you might be building the business case for a new product or partnership; the next, analyzing competitive dynamics, developing a financial model, supporting an acquisition evaluation, or helping senior leaders make decisions on strategic priorities. We're looking for someone who is intellectually curious, analytically rigorous, and excited to move fluidly across a diverse portfolio of work.

Responsibilities

  • Execute the strategic initiatives that drive growth across Dow Jones and The Wall Street Journal.

  • Evaluate new business opportunities, partnerships, acquisitions, and other strategic investments.

  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer insight work to identify emerging trends and growth opportunities.

  • Build financial models, business cases, and scenario analyses to support investment decisions and strategic planning.

  • Analyze internal and external data to uncover opportunities, measure performance, and inform executive decision-making.

  • Partner with leaders across editorial, product, engineering, marketing, finance, and commercial teams to advance key initiatives.

  • Prepare executive-ready presentations, memos, and recommendations for senior leadership.

  • Help drive strategic projects from initial concept through execution, adapting as business priorities evolve.

What We're Looking For

  • Experienced in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, corporate development, investment banking, business operations, or a related field.

  • Strong analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent research capabilities and the ability to synthesize complex information into clear recommendations.

  • Comfort working with ambiguity and independently driving projects forward.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing materials for senior executives.

  • Knowledge or experience about digital media and evolving consumer behavior.

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent experience is a plus.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in digital media, consumer subscriptions, marketplaces, or platform businesses.

  • Familiarity with partnership strategy, business development, M&A, or commercial negotiations.

  • Experience using data and analytics to inform strategic decisions.
