As Project Manager for the Chief Data Officer you drive the digital transformation of Deutsche Brse Group by strengthening the strategic use of data across the eight businesses units (SimCorp, ISS STOXX, EUREX, EEX, Deutsche Brse, 360T, Clearstream Securities Services and Fund Services), contributing directly to the Groups data & AI strategy, leading key data initiatives of group-wide relevance, supporting the development and scaling of data capabilities and platforms across the organization, and managing projects for the section Group Data.

Group Data is led by the Groups Chief Data Officer who drives the further buildout of the group-wide data mesh and data governance to improve access to high-quality, governed data for decision making, AI & automation, and commercialization. Data plays a key role in Deutsche Brse Groups digital transformation as foundation for AI and digital business models.

Your responsibilities

  • You work directly with the Chief Data Officer and senior stakeholders in driving the strategic transformation of data from byproduct of business operations and internal processes into a strategic asset providing competitive advantage, aligned with business objectives.
  • You lead key initiatives for enhancing the strategic use of data across the Group, working with the eight business units and central functions on strengthening data capabilities like data product management, internal and external data sharing, metadata/ context management, data quality and observability, and AI for data.
  • You directly contribute to the implementation of the enterprise data & AI strategy, with a particular focus on getting fit-for-purpose data/ context ready for internal and external consumption, including working with our strategic technology partners on data ecosystem and platform partnerships (e.g., marketplace, agents).
  • You collaborate closely with the business, product IT and shared IT teams managing the core data platforms and tools and implementing the enterprise-wide standards in their respective data domains to ensure further build out and adoption of data mesh principles and modern data governance practices.
  • You monitor project progress and performance, tracking and reporting on milestones, deliverables, and KPIs, identifying and mitigating risks and issues, ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • You support stakeholder alignment, facilitate effective communication and collaboration across technical and non-technical teams, and prepare regular updates and presentations for senior management.
        
    Your profile
  • You have at least 3 years of digital transformation experience within a bank, asset manager, hedge fund, trading firm, exchange, strategy consultancy or technology consultancy, with proven experience leading workstreams of data & AI or digitalization projects within the financial services industry.
  • You have completed your university-level masters degree in business administration, economics, IT, data science, engineering or similar degree in a relevant field of expertise with excellent results.
  • You combine good knowledge of data & analytics, including data management, data products, data contracts, data quality, metadata, data distribution, and modern data architectures (e.g., data mesh, data fabric), with first experience in business transformation to become a data driven or data centric organization.
  • You possess a good understanding of analytical and operational data use cases, enterprise data strategy, data target operating model, and data governance in a federated, decentral setup.
  • You enjoy collaborating operating across multiple business lines, legal entities, jurisdictions, tech and non-tech functions, with experience in working in interdisciplinary project teams across business, product and shared IT.
  • You are a strong and committed team player, with strong organizational and problem-solving skills, ability to manage and adapt to change, attention to detail, excellent communication skills from technical audiences to senior management, and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Strong project management skills, ideally backed by a recognized certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2), complement your profile.
