As an intern, you will support the team in the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Section within the Eurex Clearing AG Risk Department. The Section is the independent risk control function of Eurex Clearing, which is responsible for assessing, monitoring and reporting of financial and non-financial risks. You will actively take part in our processes, with opportunities to learn and make improvements, which will offer insight into Risk Management operations within Deutsche Boerse Group.

 

Your responsibilities:

  • You will support the team and gain insights in Liquidity, Market, Credit and Operational risk management
  • You will assist in the preparation of periodic reports for risk measurement and reporting
  • In addition, you will review concepts and support in the improvement of our current processes
  • Assist in the investigation of ad-hoc topics due to market, business or regulatory changes that affect the team
  • You will participate in selected meetings where you will gain insights into topical issues, take minutes and have the opportunity to make contributions
  • You will monitor daily the liquidity risk metrics and report any breaches or developments that you observe
  • You will consolidate data to improve reconciliation procedures and related documentation

 

Your profile:

  • You are enrolled during the entire period of activity at a state-recognized university as a regular student and have completed at least 4 semesters
    (Study focus in the field of finance, IT, mathematics, physics, economics, business studies or other relevant fields)
  • Ideally, you have already gained first practical experience in the context of an internship in the finance or risk management area
  • You are interested in capital market topics
  • You have the ability to work independently, have a sense of responsibility and creative thinking that allows you to quickly familiarize yourself with new topics and resolve challenges
  • You have excellent knowledge in MS Office (in particular MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint)
  • You are ideally familiar with databases, python and power bi to design and develop reports and dashboards
  • You are fluent in written and spoken English
