Deutsche Bank is seeking a Network Operations Engineer to join Global Network Services in London.

As a Level 2 engineer, you will support the stability, availability, and performance of the banks critical network services and infrastructure platforms. You will work closely with senior engineers, engineering teams, technology vendors, and global operations teams to restore service, support operational changes, and contribute to a resilient and well-controlled network environment.

This role is ideal for a networking professional who enjoys hands-on troubleshooting, structured incident response, and developing deeper technical expertise across enterprise network technologies.

You will operate across routing, switching, security, load balancing, Domain Name System (DNS) identity, and Software-Defined Networking related platforms, supporting service restoration, operational validation, and continuous improvement activities.

Your key responsibilities

  • Monitor, support, and restore critical network services across Deutsche Banks global infrastructure
  • Troubleshoot routing, switching, connectivity, DNS, load balancing, and network access issues
  • Execute approved operational changes, break-fix activities, and post-change validation tasks
  • Support Major Incident, Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes
  • Work with Level 3 engineers, engineering teams, and vendors to escalate and resolve complex technical issues
  • Maintain operational documentation, knowledge articles, and contribute to service improvement activities

Your skills and experience

  • Enterprise network operations or infrastructure support experience
  • Working knowledge of IP networking, routing, switching, Virtual Local Area Networks, firewalls, load balancing, DNS, and Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol
  • Experience troubleshooting network incidents using monitoring platforms, logs, packet captures, and diagnostic tools
  • Understanding of ITIL-aligned Incident, Problem, and Change Management practices
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams
  • Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs
