Overview

We are looking for a Head of Containerization Enablement to own our enterprise containerization capability as a strategic function. This will change how the organization builds and run software at scale. You will own and maintain our containerization strategy, define the target state for the containerized estate, and work with senior stakeholders to ensure we adopt containerization at pace and at scale across a complex enterprise.

What Youll Do

  • Own and maintain the enterprise containerization strategy the vision, adoption roadmap, prioritization framework, and measuring benefits

  • Work in close partnership with Engineering leads across functions (e.g. platform, developer ecosystem, security) to ensure our containerization platform and lifecycle management meets technical, security and compliance requirements

  • Define what good looks like for an application team approaching containerization and provide the materials, playbooks, and embedded support to drive adoption

  • Drive the organizational and engineering change required for containerization to succeed at scale this includes mindset, process and ways of working, not just technology stack

  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with application team leadership, business line technology leaders, and engineering managers across the organization

How Youll Lead

  • Influence engineering leads application owners to drive containerization and adoption across the Firm

  • Own the relationship with senior leadership on containerization

Skills Youll Need

  • Demonstrable technical depth in containerization and cloud-native infrastructure

  • Working knowledge of Kubernetes, container platforms, continuous integration/continuous deployment (or development) pipelines, and cloud architecture

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP preferred) and hybrid cloud architecture concepts

  • Understanding of security, compliance and regulatory implications of containerization in a financial services context

  • Proven track record of driving technology adoption at enterprise scale

Skills That Will Help You Excel

  • Experience running a cloud or platform migration programme at enterprise scale

  • Strong stakeholder management at senior level

  • Familiarity with organizational change management frameworks and their application to technology adoption

  • Experience with developer experience as a discipline
