Role Description

  • The Governance & Strategy Team at the AVP level serves as a central coordination and enablement function within Finance, driving structured governance, transparency, and decision-ready information across a broad network of stakeholders in Finance, Risk, Audit, and Regulators.
  • The role requires strong critical thinking and judgment to manage non-routine, high-impact activities, including stress testing governance processes, divisional governance coordination, and findings management. Acting as the connective tissue across initiatives, the role combines project management, business writing, and stakeholder coordination to ensure deliverables are clearly documented, risks are escalated in a timely manner, and governance processes are consistently executed with high quality.
  • The position does not include direct people management but requires strong influence, communication, and ownership across multiple workstreams

Your key responsibilities

  • Support execution of governance processes across Stress Testing, Production & Analytics, and CFO. Operate primarily within U.S. Business hours to support stakeholder collaboration and governance routines
  • Manage local findings population, tracking, and resolution coordination, ensuring completeness and accuracy
  • Annual Capital Plan Coordination liaising with various stakeholders across Finance and Risk to complete financial and non-financial refreshes
  • Deliver Management Information Materials for Stress Testing coordinating with 20+ stakeholders to deliver in a 72 hour turnaround time
  • Project Management & Coordination - Drive end-to-end coordination of non-routine initiatives, applying structured project management and critical thinking
  • Secretariat - Produce clear, structured meeting agendas, materials, and detailed minutes with defined actions and ownership. Maintain high levels of communication across stakeholders, ensuring alignment and follow-through
  • Collaborate effectively with diverse internal teams and external stakeholders across different regions to ensure seamless reporting, and build and maintain strong working relationships with the onshore US CFO team.

Your skills and experience

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Workiva is highly valued.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex, non-routine issues and drive structured outcomes
  • Experience supporting governance, regulatory, or control frameworks (e.g., CCAR, risk management, audit, or finance governance)
  • Ability to perform and interpret reconciliations (e.g., variances) and translate results into clear, actionable insights
  • Excellent project management skills, including tracking deliverables, dependencies, and timelines without formal authority
  • Proven ability to operate independently and apply critical thinking where processes are not fully defined or repeatable
  • Superior business writing and documentation skills (e.g., meeting materials, summaries, governance documentation)
  • Experience working across a broad, cross-functional stakeholder base (e.g., Finance, Risk, Audit, Technology)
  • High attention to detail with a strong emphasis on accuracy and completeness
  • Ability to operate with a white space mindsetcomfortable working in ambiguity and driving structure where none exists
  • Bachelors degree required; relevant experience in Finance, Risk, or Regulatory environments preferred. Prior experience in banking or financial services strongly preferred
