Position Overview

Details of the Division and Team:

Vietnam Branch Operations is looking for a Regulatory Reporting Lead for Global Cash Operations Department.

The Regulatory Reporting Lead is responsible for the accuracy, completeness and timeliness for regulatory reporting related activities. This includes impact analysis of new/changes in regulations and/or new/changes in product/service offering which resulting in new/changes in regulatory reports, updating reporting process, building reporting logic and working with Tech team for automation, updating report inventory, producing and submitting reports on time and with accuracy, managing and escalating exceptions, if any.

Additional responsibilities include account reconciliation related activities and payment static maintenance as and when required.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the submission timeliness, completeness and accuracy of regulatory reports of all frequencies and ensure the regulatory reporting activities are conducted in compliance with local regulations and the Bank control requirements.

  • Timely conduct impact analysis when receive new/changes in local regulations and/or new/changes in product/service offering which resulting in new/changes in regulatory reports.

  • Timely update reporting process (DTP/SOP) and provide training to team members.

  • Update/build reporting logic and work with Tech team for automation as and when required.

  • Timely update report inventory when theres changes and complete annual recertification.

  • Responsible for the timeliness, completeness and accuracy of account reconciliation activities and payment static maintenance activities (as and when required).

  • Actively utilise bank approved AI, automation, and digital tools to improve processing efficiency, accuracy, and turnaround time. Proactively identify opportunities where AI or automation can streamline operational processes and escalate ideas through appropriate governance channels.

  • Ensures timely escalation of operational, regulatory and other risks to line manager and functional leads as appropriate; contributes to the development and implementation of risk mitigation and/or control solutions.

  • Participates in periodic reviews of the efficiency and effectiveness of operational processes

  • Works effectively within own team, providing support and guidance to colleagues to create and foster an environment of continuous improvement and transparency.

  • Actively supports achievement of the Banks/divisions strategy, and ongoing alignment of activities with the organisations priorities.

  • Demonstrates personal support to the achievement and maintenance of a high performance culture in which people management and development is a key priority. Demonstrates personal commitment to supporting colleagues within the team.

  • Support Head of Global Cash Operations on implementation of Global/Regional Operations Strategy; aligning overall planned initiatives with country management & key stakeholders

  • Work closely with Head of Global Cash Operation in supporting the Risk & Control Framework, Country Initiatives & Transformation Projects (Regional & Local)

Your skills and experience:

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant practical experience, product and system knowledge payment related products.

  • Good analytical skills, flexible regarding production problem solving.

  • Good communication skills, fluent in English and local language where appropriate (written/verbal).

  • Effective problem solving and analytical skills.

  • Advanced computer skills, especially Excel, Power Point.

  • Good team player, able to work in virtual global teams and a matrix organisation.

  • Ability to work in fast paced environment, keep pace with technical innovation and maintain a broad understanding of the business offering.

  • Open minded, able to share information, transfer knowledge and expertise to team members

  • Identifies symptoms and breaks problems into distinct and manageable parts and analyses and interprets the root cause.

  • Good understanding of compliance and local regulatory requirements on payment-related transactions

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university (or equivalent)

  • Preferably with experience in payment operations or cash management products.

  • Good English speaking and writing

  • Team oriented, open-minded, and proactive in sharing knowledge.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining control discipline and awareness of technical innovation.

  • Comfortable using digital and bank approved AI tools to support day to day operational work.

  • Transformation / process re-engineering / AI tool savvy mindset; able to identify opportunities, propose practical improvements, and support implementation within governance and control requirements.

  • Ability to interpret AI generated output critically and apply professional judgement.
