Deloitte

Working with the Deloitte Associate (Contractor) Programme means we can offer you the opportunity to work on a variation of industry and client related projects. Our aim is to retain the best talent and so when your project end date nears our team of Talent Community Advisors will be working with you to look at alternative projects within the firm that suit your experience should you wish to continue with Deloitte.

Role

  • The Business Change Manager will play a key role in delivering successful business and technology change by ensuring people are engaged, prepared, and supported throughout the change journey. You will work closely with project teams and stakeholders to drive adoption, minimise resistance, and maximise the value realised from new processes, technologies, and ways of working.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support business change and technology adoption activities across project and transformation initiatives.
  • Develop and deliver change management strategies that promote engagement, readiness, and sustained adoption.
  • Identify, assess, and engage key stakeholders, building support and managing resistance throughout the change lifecycle.
  • Communicate the vision, benefits, and impact of change in a clear and compelling way, bringing people on the journey.
  • Create and deliver change artefacts, including communication plans, stakeholder assessments, adoption plans, training materials, and readiness activities.
  • Contribute to or lead the creation of learning and adoption content, including videos, FAQs, user guides, knowledge base articles, and training materials.
  • Analyse the end-to-end user journey, identifying potential barriers to adoption and implementing solutions to improve the user experience.
  • Work across multiple teams and business areas to coordinate change activities and ensure a consistent approach.
  • Build strong relationships with technical and non-technical stakeholders, influencing outcomes and maintaining engagement throughout delivery.
  • Support the continuous improvement of change management approaches and encourage the use of AI and emerging technologies to improve productivity.

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience in business change management and technology adoption, ideally within a project delivery environment.
  • Experience delivering large-scale business change programmes across multiple teams and stakeholder groups.
  • Strong understanding of change management principles, methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to clearly articulate the need for change, the future vision, and the path to get there.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, engage, and gain commitment from stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including identifying, analysing, and strategically engaging key stakeholders to secure buy-in and minimise resistance.
  • Ability to manage change across diverse business functions and navigate complex organisational environments.
  • Experience developing and delivering training, communications, and user adoption activities.
  • Strong understanding of the end-to-end user experience and the factors that drive successful adoption.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience working within a professional services environment.
  • Experience with, and ideally practitioner-level certification in, PROSCI or equivalent change management methodologies.
  • Experience working within ITIL environments.
  • Experience delivering projects using PRINCE2 or waterfall methodologies.
  • Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
  • Previous experience with Agile and Lean practices.
  • An interest in behavioural change, psychology, and the people side of transformation.

Attributes

  • Collaborative team player with a positive and proactive approach.
  • Able to motivate and influence others while building strong working relationships.
  • Strong expectation management skills and the ability to balance competing priorities.
  • Awareness of emerging technology trends and a passion for leveraging AI to improve productivity and ways of working.
  • Professional, credible, and confident when working with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Diplomatic and persuasive, with the ability to handle challenging conversations and manage senior stakeholders effectively.
  • Adaptable, resilient, and comfortable working in a changing environment.
  • Passionate about helping people embrace change and realise business value.
  • This version removes repetition (particularly around communication, stakeholder management, and PROSCI), corrects spelling and grammar, and aligns more closely with a senior Deloitte-style job description format.
