As a Consultant in our Enterprise Operations Transformation team, you will be a core member of the project team, delivering analysis and insights that shape the future of our clients' operations. You will work with a range of public sector organisations, helping them to solve their most complex operational and strategic challenges.
Our work is focused on helping clients transform their core business through several key offerings:
- Business Analysis: Analysing processes, identifying inefficiencies, and designing new ways of working to enhance performance and service delivery.
- Change Management: Supporting our clients through their transformation journey, navigating complex change processes to support the delivery of successful outcomes.
- Enterprise Operating Model: Supporting the redesign of organisational structures, governance, and capabilities to better align with strategic objectives.
- Regulatory Approach: Helping clients understand and adapt to complex regulatory environments.
- Financial Turnaround/Improvement: Providing the analytical support to identify cost savings, improve financial management, and ensure long-term sustainability.

As a Consultant in our team, you will:
- Support the development of engagement scoping, planning, and project management activities.
- Own specific sections of client deliverables, preparing them to a high standard by applying critical thinking and analytical techniques.
- Use your initiative to solve problems, applying standard methods and tools to develop ideas that address client challenges.
- Confidently present your findings to team leaders and clients, and contribute to broader discussions.
- Build strong relationships with your client counterparts and Deloitte team members.
- Contribute to practice development by supporting initiatives and sharing knowledge.
Essential Skills:
- A foundational understanding of the major issues faced in the UK public sector (e.g. Defence, Justice, Local Government).
- Experience in a business analyst, change management, or junior consultant role, either within a consulting firm or directly in the public sector.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with both qualitative and quantitative data.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate ideas and present findings.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel, for analysis and report creation.
- Ability to manage your own activities, complete tasks independently, and understand how your work contributes to the project's success.
- A desire to learn and develop, with the ability to respond positively to feedback.
- Degree qualified or equivalent experience.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in one of our core offering areas (e.g. process mapping, operating model design, business case development).
- Familiarity with project management disciplines and tools.
- An awareness of how digital tools and technology can enable business transformation.
