Deloitte is seeking an experienced AWS Pre-Sales Solutions Architect to join our Technology & Transformation practice. The successful candidate will play a critical role in shaping cloud transformation opportunities, engaging clients throughout the sales lifecycle and designing innovative AWS-based solutions that address complex business and technical challenges. 

Working closely with Deloitte account teams, industry leaders, AWS stakeholders and client executives, you will lead technical discovery activities, develop solution strategies, support bids and proposals and articulate compelling AWS solutions that deliver measurable business outcomes. 

This is a client-facing role requiring strong AWS technical expertise, consulting experience, commercial awareness and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 

Key Responsibilities

• Solution Development & Opportunity Shaping 
• Lead the design and development of end-to-end AWS solution architectures aligned to client business goals, technology strategies and transformation objectives. 
• Engage with clients to understand business challenges, technical requirements and strategic priorities through workshops, discovery sessions and stakeholder interviews.
• Develop solution strategies, transformation roadmaps, target architectures and business cases for cloud adoption and modernization initiatives. 
• Define conceptual, logical and physical architectures, including infrastructure, applications, data, integration, security and operational considerations. 
• Ensure solutions align with AWS Well-Architected Framework principles, security standards, compliance requirements and industry best practices. 

Pre-Sales & Business Development 

• Collaborate with Deloitte account teams and AWS stakeholders to identify, qualify and shape new business opportunities. 
• Support the full sales lifecycle, from opportunity qualification through proposal submission and deal closure. 
• Lead technical responses to RFPs, RFIs, RFQs and proposal submissions. 
• Develop compelling solution narratives, architecture artefacts and client presentations that clearlyarticulate business value and technical capability. 
• Participate in client meetings, executive briefings, workshops and solution demonstrations. 
• Provide technical leadership during pursuit activities and support the development of winning propositions. 

AWS Partnership & Go-to-Market Activities 

• Build strong relationships with AWS account teams, Partner Development Managers, Solution Architects and Specialist teams. 
• Support AWS co-sell initiatives and joint go-to-market opportunities. 
• Identify and leverage AWS funding programmes, migration incentives, co-investment funding and innovation programmes where appropriate. 
• Stay informed on AWS strategic priorities, services and emerging technologies to support opportunity development and market differentiation. 

Technical Leadership 

• Provide technical leadership and architectural governance throughout the opportunity lifecycle. 
• Conduct architecture reviews and technical assessments to validate solution viability, scalability, security and operational readiness. 
• Identify technical risks, assumptions, dependencies and mitigations during solution development. 
• Support transition of opportunities into delivery teams while ensuring solution integrity and alignment with client expectations. 
• Promote innovation through the adoption of emerging AWS technologies, modern architecture patterns and industry best practices

AWS Expertise 

• Proven experience designing and architecting solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS). 
• Strong understanding of AWS services including compute, storage, networking, security, data, analytics, integration and serverless technologies. 
• Experience developing cloud transformation strategies, migration approaches and modernization roadmaps. 

Certifications 

Desired: 

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional 

 Consulting & Pre-Sales Experience 

• Demonstrable experience supporting pre-sales activities, business development, or complex client pursuits. 
• Experience developing technical proposals, solution architectures, bid responses and Statements of Work (SOWs). 
• Proven ability to shape and influence cloud transformation opportunities from qualification through to deal closure. 
• Experience operating within consulting, systems integration, or professional services environments. 

Stakeholder Management & Communication 

• Exceptional communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. 
• Ability to engage effectively with C-suite executives, business stakeholders, enterprise architects and technical teams. 
• Strong consulting and stakeholder management skills with the ability to build trusted advisor relationships. 
• Comfortable presenting complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. 

Technical Leadership 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. 
• Experience leading technical workshops, architecture discussions and solution design sessions. 
• Ability to influence architectural decisions and drive alignment across multiple stakeholder groups. 

Emerging Technologies 

• Understanding of AWS AI/ML and Generative AI services, including Amazon Bedrock and SageMaker. 
• Knowledge of modern data platforms, analytics solutions and cloud-native architectures. 
• Interest in emerging technologies and their application to business transformation challenges. 

Experience 

• Proven experience in Solution Architecture, Cloud Consulting, Technical Advisory, or related roles. 
• Proven hands-on AWS architecture experience. 
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale cloud transformation initiatives. 
• Experience working across multiple industries and client environments. 
• Demonstrated success in supporting sales pursuits, proposals and cloud adoption programmes.
