The Developer Experience tribe offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the productivity and satisfaction of developers here at Danske Bank. 

We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer (DevOps) to join the Development Performance squad within the Developer Experience Tribe. The squad works at the intersection of software delivery performance monitoring and engineering intelligence, delivering platforms and insights that drive measurable improvements in how software is built and delivered at Danske Bank. 

The squad builds and maintains platforms and tools that streamline processes and give stakeholders clear, actionable engineering insights, including our Live Engineering platform and the emerging area of AI code assistant measurement.

What You Will Be Doing

• Build and evolve the Live Engineering platform: the pipelines, APIs, and interfaces that collect, process, and surface software engineering performance data and DORA metrics across the organisation 
• Build the measurement framework for AI code assistants and agents, tracking utilisation, quantifying impact, and monitoring costs across AI-assisted development tools 
• Develop observability solutions that provide real-time visibility into software delivery performance and engineering trends 
• Identify where automation can eliminate toil and shift focus toward high-impact engineering
• Engage with the developer community across tribes to uncover friction points and translate them into platform improvements 
• Review code and contribute to engineering decisions within the squad, ensuring solutions are maintainable, well-designed, and built to last 
• Communicate effectively with engineers and stakeholders about technical implementation, platform capabilities, and roadmap

About You

• 5+ years experience as a Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or Software Engineer with a strong focus on engineering metrics, automation, and delivery performance 

• Strong software engineering fundamentals - you write clean, well-designed code, understand design patterns, and can review code with intent, not just correctness 

• Experience with Python, Java, or C# or production-quality tools and APIs

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitOps practices (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps or similar) 

• Experience with container platforms (Kubernetes, OpenShift), cloud environments (AWS preferred), and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)

• Track record of building automation at scale for recurring engineering challenges

• Experience working with engineering metrics and data pipelines

• Self-directed problem solver comfortable with evolving requirements

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in English

Experience with agentic AI development would be valuable additions to your toolkit.

Monthly salary range from 4960 EUR to 7440 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).
