Join Danske Bank Markets Legal as a Legal Director and contribute to the future of financial markets through innovative transactions and regulatory guidance. You will provide legal advice across complex financial instruments, digital assets, and emerging technologies while working with a collaborative team that values initiative and commercial insight.
What you will be doing
As Legal Director, you will be central to Markets Legal's mission of supporting Danske Bank's markets, trading, and securities services businesses. Working closely with stakeholders across Large Corporates & Institutions, Credit, and Compliance, you will combine deep legal expertise with commercial insight to deliver practical solutions in a complex regulatory environment.
- Advise, draft, negotiate and document bespoke transactions with financial instruments including derivatives
- Structure agreements for depository services, post-trade services and custody arrangements
- Guide digital asset infrastructure implementation and development within the bank
- Manage trading platform memberships and central clearing counterparty arrangements
- Navigate market regulation including MiFID II/MiFIR, EMIR and CSDR frameworks
- Oversee external advisers ensuring cost-efficiency and quality alignment
- Contribute to new product development in markets area
- Implement AI and technology solutions to enhance legal workflows
About you
- Master's degree in law with experience from law firms, financial sector or regulatory bodies
- Structured working style with strong ownership of tasks and stakeholder relationships
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams while working individually and within teams
- Strong communication skills for conveying complex legal matters to non-legal audiences
- Professional proficiency in Danish and English, both written and spoken
- Interest in leveraging Legal Tech and AI tools to improve legal processes
Experience with markets transactions, financial infrastructure and relevant regulations is advantageous but curiosity about learning new areas of law is what truly matters.
