About us

You will join the Asset Management Finance team, which is based in Denmark, while being located in Finland alongside the Asset Management Operations FI colleagues who work as part of other global teams. We are responsible for the accounting for Danske Bank Asset Management as well as several subsidiaries in the Danske Bank Group. You will work closely with experienced controllers and your manager in Denmark, while also being part of the local Finnish office environment.

Your role

As our new controller, you will take responsibility for a defined part of the Asset Management accounting area and become a key contributor in the monthly closing and reporting process. Your tasks include:

• Monthly accounting, reconciliations and settlements
• Preparation of explanations and variance analyses
• Reporting and documentation of business processes
• Optimisation and automatisation of accounting processes
•  Stakeholder management and close dialogue with colleagues in different functions

Your profile

• At least 2 years of experience from external audit or an accounting department in a bigger company. 
• You have a relevant educational background, for example a Bachelors degree in Business Administration (BBA / Tradenomi), preferably in Finance, or equivalent and have a general understanding of Finnish accounting and tax legislation, including VAT.
• You have strong analytical skills and a genuine interest in using IT and systems to improve processes and create better insight.
•  You will collaborate with partners both in Denmark and internationally, so strong communication skills in English are essential.
• You are proactive, comfortable picking up the phone when something needs to be clarified, and you enjoy working together with others to solve problems.
