Job Overview

Procurement and Third-Party Management (P&TPM)is responsible forprocuringproducts and services for Citigroup andmanagesthe risks associated with Citisthird-partyarrangements, across all business lines and locations. P&TPM defines and oversees the implementation of policies and standards that provide controls to assess third parties and outsourcing arrangements. The goal of P&TPM is to support Citis selection and management of third parties capable of providing products and services ina safeand soundmanner and at a reasonable cost and to manage the risks associated with third parties.

Citi is currently seekingaP&TPMOperational ExcellenceSVPwhois passionate about driving meaningful changes and is ready to make an impact.  The ideal candidate will have a background inoperational excellence, change management,regulatoryremediationandcomplianceauditsandabilityto lead and inspire a team.Thisselected candidate willbe responsibleformanaging, coordinating, on time delivering ofP&TPMremediation activitiesgloballywhile proactivelyidentifyingimprovements to de-risk P&TPM Operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developstrategy, working frameworkand executeon P&TPMcomprehensive remediation plansto address compliance deficienciesidentifiedby regulators and internal audits.

  • Develop cross-functional relationships with stakeholders to ensure successful execution of theplan.

  • Identify,analyze risks, and develop strategies to mitigatethem.

  • Provides regularupdatesand reports to senior managementand at necessarygovernance forumsregardingthe progress of the remediationplan.

  • Develop and maintain best practices for regulatory compliance and ensure adherence to thesepractices.

  • Maintain knowledge of third-party risk management and their associated compliance requirements

  • Partner with P&TPM management and theirorganizations onthird-party risk, remediation, and strategies to ensure robust operationalrisk managementcapability and effective management of third-party inventoriesincluding outsourcing. 

  • Proactivelyidentifycontinuous improvement opportunities to de-risk P&TPM Operations

  • Manage a small team ofindividuals with similar capabilities.

Qualifications:

  • 12+yearsof relevant experience

  • Extensive experience inaudit, riskand control, supervision, quality assurance / control and monitoring processes.

  • Extensive experience in risk and control (including regulatory) remediation activities.

  • Ability to effectively drive and lead change in an organization with Citigroups size.

  • Meaningful knowledge of the risk management framework, including risk identification, risk appetite and strategy, risk-related decisions, processes and controls, riskanalyticsand governance.

  • Experience working horizontally across an organization andparticipatingin enterprise-wide implementations of major policy and relevant risk programs.

  • Broad understanding of relevantThird-Party Risk Managementregulation and supervisory expectations for large complex financial institutionspreferred.

  • Well-developed listening skills and a strong ability to engage at the executive management level by providing proactive support and advice on a variety of risk matters.

  • Superior oral and written communication skills, and in particular ability to assess and contribute to the content of key risk and control reporting.

  • Strong leadership skills anddemonstratedexperience with a proventrack recordin driving positive and sustainedchange.

  • Strong ability to engage at the senior management level anddemonstratedcommunication experience atdifferent levelsoforganization.
