Job Overview

The Supply Chain (SC) Sourcing Lead Analyst in International Sourcing works in partnership with Citi businesses and Global Category Lead to develop and execute strategic sourcing strategies, drive negotiate and implement improvements across supply and demand levers to reduce the total cost of ownership for category and/or spend in Asia. This role manages key supplier relationships and is involved in identifying and mitigating any supply chain and third-party risks to deliver the optimum risk mitigation and competitive advantage from Citi's supply chain.

This role is also the representative/point of contact to senior management and stakeholders from Citi businesses and responsible to drive/lead sourcing related initiatives/reviews in Asia.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage and establish strong partnership with Citi Business Stakeholders to identify, jointly develop and drive strategies that will support Citi overall business objectives.
  • Oversee sourcing and supply base strategy, develop standards, policies, targets, and category strategies as well as coordinate the sourcing process for the various products and services within the procurement group
  • Lead and/or participate in global category forums maintaining high level sourcing processes and team
  • Develop and/or implement market analyses/benchmarking processes and leverage key insights to inform and support the category strategy development process
  • Develop and/or implement a strategic supplier management program to ensure optimal supply chain performance
  • Perform financial modeling and lead development and execution of negotiation strategies for high-value and complex multi-year deals
  • Set strategic direction with suppliers, establish supplier qualification criteria, develop contract requirements and master agreements, model total cost of ownership, and negotiate and manage contracts
  • Develop strategies for sourcing, supplier management, negotiation, productivity, and customer and supplier relationships
  • Lead support for cross functional teams in developing and executing sourcing, supplier management strategies, and complex contract negotiations
  • Support review and mitigation of supply chain, contractual and third-party risks to help ensure business continuity and safeguard of Citigroup's interests and reputation
  • Coach and train new recruits as well as serve in informal/formal leadership roles within team
  • Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
  • Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
  • Acts as SME to stakeholders and /or other team members.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in sourcing or procurement in financial institution or large, multi-national organization
  • Experience in leading strategic sourcing programs, complex deal structuring, negotiations, and contracting
  • Demonstrated stakeholder management, relationship management, leadership and influencing skills
  • Prudent in Compliance, Risk and Controls related matters
  • Experience with Contracts and eProcurement tools/systems (e.g. Oracle, Procure-to-Pay, eAuction, eRFx)
  • Proficient computer skills with a focus on Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work unsupervised and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate

Education:

  • Bachelors degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Masters degree preferred
  • Certified Purchase Professional such as CPM or CIPS preferred
