Job Overview

Citi's Trustee Operations team is looking for a Trustee Operations Analyst to play a central role in fund compliance, net asset valuation, end-to-end control oversight, and client services delivery across a diverse portfolio of investment funds. In this position, you will act as a key point of contact between client services and Fund Managers, supporting new fund setups and ensuring funds operate within regulatory requirements and client expectations. This is a high-impact role for a funds professional who brings analytical rigour, a strong control mindset, and the ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships across the full fund lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison between client services and Fund Managers, managing enquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring consistent and accurate communication across all parties.
• Coordinate the end-to-end setup of new funds, working with Fund Managers, custodians, administrators, and internal teams to establish operational frameworks and controls from inception.
• Oversee service provider performance through structured due diligence, ongoing monitoring, error investigation, and direct regulatory communication where required.
• Oversee the accurate and timely calculation of Net Asset Valuations (NAVs) and distribution factors, monitoring fund activity across the Trustee Operations team to maintain operational integrity.
• Perform daily post-trade investment compliance monitoring, including portfolio review, and deliver breach reporting to Regulators and Fund Managers in line with applicable policies.
• Review financial statements and regulatory reports, providing sign-off on complex transactions and ensuring data accuracy across the control environment.
• Design and implement end-to-end control and monitoring frameworks for new fund mandates, identifying and addressing risk across the full operational process chain.
• Identify opportunities to improve business-as-usual processes within Trustee Operations, contribute procedural enhancements, and support the development and training of team members.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 3 years of experience in fund operations, audit, or risk within the funds industry, with solid knowledge of investment funds, derivatives, and financial markets.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional qualification; a Chartered Accountant, CFA, or MBA designation is required.
• Hands-on experience in post-trade operations, including portfolio review and financial statement reporting within a regulated fund environment.
• Demonstrated ability to perform investment compliance monitoring, interpret regulatory requirements, and manage breach reporting to regulators and fund managers.
• Proven capability to identify operational risk within end-to-end control processes and implement effective monitoring frameworks.
• Clear and effective communicator with the ability to build and maintain relationships across internal teams and external stakeholders, including regulators, custodians, and professional advisors.
• Analytical thinker who works independently, exercises sound judgement under pressure, and demonstrates sensitivity to business risk.

Beneficial Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in Trustee Fiduciary, Fund Accounting, Transaction Control, or Compliance roles within a regulated financial environment.
• Familiarity with new fund setup processes, fund administration, change management, or project management in an operational context.
• Licensing with the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) under Type 13 for providing depositary services to Collective Investment Schemes (CISs), or eligibility to obtain this licence.
• Experience collaborating across multiple internal business units and managing dependencies within complex, multi-party fund service models.
