The role will be responsible for review, analysis, design, and development; planning and Sprint oversight, supporting AGILE development. Responsibilities are inclusive of, but not limited to the following:
This role is a senior-level application development position embedded within a Cards technology organization, responsible for delivering end-to-end software development across multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced financial services environment. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in .NET-based development, Agile and Waterfall SDLC methodologies, and emerging Agentic AI tools to drive modernization of critical card processing and statement systems. Operating with minimal supervision, this developer will serve as both a technical contributor and an informal team leader, resolving complex system and business process challenges while maintaining strict architectural standards. The role demands a high-caliber communicator capable of bridging technical and business stakeholders across distributed teams.
Responsibilities:
Manage application development deliverables across the full software development life cycle (SDLC), applying Waterfall or Agile methodologies as appropriate for each project.
Gather technical requirements, code specifications, and test plans across multiple concurrent projects.
Perform analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and production maintenance of enterprise applications with minimal supervision.
Provide technical expertise to resolve complex issues through in-depth evaluation of business and system processes.
Ensure alignment to established architectural standards and proactively identify opportunities to modernize existing applications.
Support development activities within the Mail Management System and Statement System integration environments as part of the Cards SDLC.
Apply AI/ML development skills, including Agentic AI tools such as Claude and Devin, to enhance application capabilities and delivery efficiency.
Develop and maintain Unix scripts and Autosys job scheduling configurations in support of automated workflows.
Collaborate effectively with remote and distributed teams, fostering positive working relationships across organizational boundaries.
Lead and integrate within a team of experienced application developers, exercising adaptive leadership and conflict resolution in a high-tempo operating environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in application development, systems management, or project delivery in a technology environment, with demonstrated growth in scope and responsibility.
Proficiency in .NET development, including VB.NET and C#, on Windows-based systems.
Working knowledge of JavaScript and SQL Server for application and database development.
Experience with Unix scripting and Autosys for job scheduling and automation.
Demonstrated use of GitHub for source control and collaborative software development.
Familiarity with Agentic AI tools (e.g., Claude, Devin) and AI/ML development practices.
Experience in the credit card or financial services industry is strongly preferred.
Knowledge of Python and/or Precisely client/server-based printing solutions is a plus.
Proven ability to lead application development teams within both Waterfall and Agile SDLC environments.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to business stakeholders.
Ability to navigate ambiguity creatively and deliver results in a high-achieving, fast-paced team environment.
