Job Overview

The Human Resources (HR) Generalist Senior Group Manager is a senior management level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team or department in an effort to drive the delivery of day-to-day HR support in coordination with the Human Resources team. The overall objective of this role is to ensure the seamless delivery of HR services to client groups within an assigned organization.

The role reports directly into the Global Head of HR Partnership for all Functions which covers Technology, Functions, HR and Operations.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team across multiple geographies to accomplish established goals and conduct personnel duties for team (e.g. performance evaluations, hiring and disciplinary actions) as well as deliver HR services and build capabilities to drive organizational performance
  • Coach and develop managers to build manager and employee capability, lead Employee Relations (ER) issues with business managers, and ensure appropriate advice is given and actions in place
  • Partner with Human Resources Advisors (HRAs) and Centers of Excellence (COEs) on HR priorities in respective client populations to ensure delivery and implementation of solutions
  • Coordinate and ensure seamless end to end delivery of global priorities and life cycle processes as well as Identify and resolve key complex and diverse HR issues
  • Work with HRA global partners and regional Generalists to ensure consistent communication and delivery of HR solutions and processes as well as consult and coordinate with country HR partners to deliver regional activities
  • Serve as a strategic business partner in recommending, developing, and executing business plans as well as develop and maintain working relationships with all key stakeholders and business leaders
  • Manage multiple leaders responsible for teams of HR Generalists and monitors teams with regards to coaching/motivation, staff performance, compensation management, and career development
  • Coordinate resources to ensure efficient delivery of HR services and focus on reengineering initiatives
  • Direct and plan HR strategy for aligned HR unit including policy development and planning
  • Anticipate, evaluate, and respond appropriately to developments in the local and international environments impacting HR policy
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience in people management
  • Demonstrated analytical skills
  • Demonstrated leadership and relationship management skills
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

Education:

  • Bachelors degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Masters degree preferred
