Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Tableau Dashboard Developer with strong SQL Server Database hands on expertise to join our data analytics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining insightful and visually appealing dashboards and reports that drive business decisions. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into effective data visualizations.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy interactive and user-friendly Tableau dashboards and reports.
- Collaborate with business users and analysts to gather and document reporting requirements.
- Connect to various data sources, including SQL Server databases, Big Data and S3 via StarBurst.
- Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) to prepare data for visualization.
- Write complex T-SQL queries to support application development and data analysis.
- Optimize database performance by tuning queries, creating indexes, and analyzing execution plans.
- Perform database administration tasks, such as backups, restores, and disaster recovery planning.
- Collaborate with software developers to integrate database components into applications.
- Optimize dashboard performance and ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Provide training and support to end-users on how to use the Tableau dashboards.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Tableau features and best practices in data visualization.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with Tableau workbooks and data sources.
- Knowledge of scripting languages like Python for automation and data analysis
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server.
- Strong understanding of data visualization principles and best practices.
- Expertise in T-SQL programming and performance tuning.
- Proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries.
- Experience with data modeling and data warehousing concepts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
