Job Overview

The Business Associate is an intermediate level position responsible for the overall administrative activities of a business. These tasks may include contribution to external audits, business continuity activities or addressing regulatory issues. The Business Associate may assist in activities such as the tracking of business financials, managing employee headcount or coordination of other administrative needs. May work on ad hoc projects as requested.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with country, regional and global Operations leadership to support strategic priorities and assist in the execution of key initiatives.
  • Provide data, presentations, and independent analysis to senior management and Operations heads to support management decision-making and strategic initiatives.
  • Coordinate day-to-day business management and operational activities across the Operations organization.
  • Support business reviews, events planning and coordination, seeking necessary business approvals and payment processing for events.
  • Coordinate and track the country, regional and global Operations projects, ensuring timely execution against agreed milestones.
  • Collaborate with product, business, and functional partners to support consistent execution of business objectives.
  • Support workforce planning activities, including reporting on headcount, hiring trends, and organizational changes.
  • Coordinate governance forums and committees, including agenda preparation, materials management, and follow-up actions.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and support implementation of operational enhancements and standardization efforts.
  • Apply sound risk and control principles in business activities and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Participate in self-assessment and control testing activities to support effective risk management.
  • Address ad-hoc requests effectively, managing workload to meet tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance efficiency, contributing to stronger internal partner relationships through reliable reporting.
  • Partner with senior management to lead cross-functional Operations initiatives from identification through to delivery, driving measurable improvements to business strategy.
  • Develop communications and content that support internal business messaging, stakeholder engagement, and leadership decision-making.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Recommended Qualifications:

  • 8-10 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in business management, governance, workforce planning, project coordination, communication, and risk and controls
  • Experience with databases, information management, presentation and project management
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills


Education:

  • Bachelors Degree/University degree or equivalent experience
